ok so we scored but can anybody give me a solid reason why the first play was a dive up the middle knowing they have the best pair of DT's in the NFL and we have 2 tackles playing guard?

That's the kind of call that baffles me, JJ has a chance to get outside, or on a draw, but to just line up and think we're going to run right over the strength of their defense behind the weakness of our offense just leaves me bewildered.

nice catch by Edwards.

Rackers is on pace to have THE best season ever by a kicker and is already having a top 5 all-time season. Yup, it was strictly a PR move, because he obviously sucks......
:lame:

He is having a great season and I agree with the extension. But the bottom line is his KOs are subpar lately.

If we force JAX to a 3 and out, I'll be a believer that we can win.

EDIT: Not that we WILL win, though.

Don't you mean we have two guards playing tackle?

That is such nonsense. Jaecke had a much better season in '98. When was the last time Rackers kicked a game winning FG or even had to try one? Rackers is just another in a long line of average players idolized by Cardinal fans desperate for anything positive.

Dockett is a camera guy. he missed jones in the backfield, falls on him at the end of the play and then gets up and poses for the camera?

I can understand why you feel that way but I feel that kickers are easily replaceable. Nedney is still in the league for instance, hurt recently though I think, and you don't put a large amount of money into one. Our kicker in '98 was really clutch and I don't even think he stayed in the league for very long afterward.

Rackers extension was strictly a PR move just like Centers. As well as to use up cap space and try to silence some of the criticism of the front office for not doing everything they could to improve the team.

Nedney gets hurt every season and misses several games. What good is he to you on the bench? Look at Dallas Thursday and the Bucs today. Chip shot FG's missed that simply kill you. Rackers signing was not merely a PR move. I disagree.

Playing devil's advocate--you can't blame Rackers for his team not being in aposition for him to kick a game winner. I suspect he'd kick a game winner with just as much regularity as his others if given the chance.

ok so this is blaspheme but this would be a perfect situation to not blitz and instead drop back into coverage. Garrard is clearly looking to run where the blitz is coming from, so fake the blitz, drop back and I bet he pulls it down and runs right into a tackle.

So you fault Rackers for not being in position to kick a game winning FG???? You don't think thats a little backwards?

As for Jacke he should have been cut when Nedney got healthy the following offseason, but that was just another in the long line of Tobin mistakes....

Back to this game...Why do the Cardinals make so many back-up QBs look like world beaters?

I guess if we stop them the TO won't look bad but I always hate to burn one with so much time left it almost always comes back to haunt you later.
