I thought there were a couple of plays that should have been played out just a little bit differently to keep the clock ticking.

One was when #12, I think, ran out of bounds after getting the first down, one was throwing the ball on 4th and 2. And one was when the punter ( I think) received the snap with maybe 15 seconds left on the play clock. I think the game clock was ticking down. All of these were towards the end of the game, 2-3 minutes left, maybe?

There could have been more, but these are what I remember off the top of my head.

Not smart football:confused::(:mad:

I thought the John Brown play was outside of five minutes, so if that is the case the clock starts again when the ball in spotted.

Thx, for the correction, WC. I don't know the rules about the clock stoppage when running out of bounds (I thought the clock stopped-didn't realize it started back up again). Don't remember how much time was left, I just knew that the clock was on our side with them storming back and getting close (and I was starting to get nervous).

Now, I'm not even sure about the other example I gave :) (game clock ticking down?). Announcer didn't mention it, so I'm probably wrong about that too.

Why did Ellington not get on the field in some capacity in this game?

According to the Game Log, he was targeted on three pass plays, of which two (one 8-yard completion and one incompletion) were called back by penalty, and the third was an incompletion. Dunno how many snaps he had. But yeah, i also expected to see more of him (and less of Kerwyn).

From the article:
Peterson left the game in the third quarter after aggravating a quadriceps injury on a punt return. It didn’t seem like a big deal at the time since the Cardinals had a 31-6 lead, but the Buccaneers took full advantage, scoring 27 fourth-quarter points to make the Cardinals sweat out the victory.
Really freaking brilliant for the Cardinals to put PP in for yet another ineffective punt return, with a huge lead, while he was still nursing an injured quad. WTF?!?

Nope, that's the only part i wanted to comment on. We all know that P2 is the best CB in the league, so the stats are no surprise. This article revealed that it was on the ineffective and pointless punt return that he re-injured his quad. Ridiculous.

Just seen Jones was credited by NFL with a 2nd sack in Bucs game. PFF also had him with 2 but don't remember 2nd sack?

P.S Also he now has most sacks in NFL since 2015 @ 30.5
