I'm of the same opinion regarding CJ taking Ellington role. If he can run between the tackles like he has, it's a no brainer.

He is making that jump cut inside on the first guy almost every play so he's getting yards Ellington doesn't get.

I guess I didn't see him regularly enough in recent years always thought he was strictly an outside guy but he's been terrific so far between the tackles.

Agree, I didn't realize he could move between the tackles so efficiently. Ellington and David Johnson have the home run ability maybe more than CJ at this stage of his career, but man, we shouldn't discount the 4 yard gains between the tackles, he's the only RB on our roster able to do it consistently.
