Right? If they begged to play why haven't they showed up?

They wanted to play so they can receive the game check for this game. Plus many players have incentives in their contracts that say "if player plays __% of snaps then they get a $2M bonus" etc so they want to play because of that as well.

Seattle will be nuts if they leave their starters in there for the 2nd half.

This game means nothing to us, but a lot to Seattle. No matter what you tell you players to try to keep them up for a game like this, they know deep down that it doesn't mean that much. No one is going to sacrifice themselves in this game. It is simply like a preseason game. Sure you want to win, but you know you aren't going to kill yourself trying to win it.

Better to get all these silly errors out of our system now. We have plenty we have been storing up all season. Now we will realize again how hard it is to win a game in this league and how hard you need to prepare if you are going to win a playoff game.

We were just not mentally ready to play a team like seattle today.
