Fun note from NFP (although I don't know if the line has moved since then):
NEW YORK GIANTS (2-1) at ARIZONA CARDINALS (1-2)
Time: 4:05pm eastern
Opening line: Giants -3
Current line: Pick (3-point swing)
Current betting patterns: 80% of bets placed are on NYG
Analysis: Remember back in Week 1 when the Baltimore Ravens blew out the Pittsburgh Steelers and then hit the road and laid an egg at Tennessee in Week 2? Apply that logic here and you’ll understand why this line has plummeted as far and fast as it has. New York is coming off an impressive upset win over Philadelphia, but could be walking into a trap in Week 4 at Arizona. Be advised that the Cardinals are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games as a home underdog.
I don't understand betting, can someone break down the last line for me in third-grader terms?

knowing the cardinals, they will match NY when they couldnt even beat Seattle.

Think itll be a much more respectable showing. prob give us a glimmer of hope in the 3rd or early 4th and lose. again.

That seattle loss has really bruied all my enthusiasm. They need a major win to save this season. And yes, we are already at 'save season' mode. Dont fool yourself. We look horrendous with no signs of anything changing. as of right now, we are lotto pick bound

Is everything
I can't tell if the fans are just really down, or we're having a group reverse-jinx here.

The Giants aren't that good, and they're coming off the biggest win that they'll probably have this season.

I don't think the Giants are that great either. This is a winnable home game, though the Sleepwalking in Seattle last week will certainly keep me from playing this game while I'm hanging out at the Venetian sportsbook in Vegas this weekend. Rather concerned about Brandon Jacobs ripping us apart on the ground.

Cardinal logic says we win, the score is really not important but since it is a win and there is no logic...we unleash over thirty points on these guys and they fail to play catch up, but they will mount some kind of come back so Cardinal fan will not rest easy till the game is over LOL

or, we could lose...but that is no fun

depends on the type of loss... if it's a MNF Meltdown type loss, that's still fun... actually, no it's not at this point of the season. that would be pretty much the worse thing to watch in the world at this point.

This one will get ugly in front of the home crowd and soon AZ will be joining San Diego with game blackouts.

just keep burying your head in the sand Wiz:

“For the most part, (the tackles) have been consistent in their play,” Whisenhunt said. “As with any position, they have missed a couple of blocks but for what we have asked them to do – run-game-wise, protection-wise, especially with some of the matchups, I think they have done a good job.
“I thought they held up. That’s not to say they are there, but I believe it is a solid start for both of them.”

jesus.

The fans are down. The reality that last year wasn't all on the poor QB play has hit home. And hit hard.

Bradshaw and Jacobs will destroy our 2-4-5 Defense.

I'm sorry but the Giants don't have a chance! They peaked last week and now they are playing on the road. My prediction is that Eli Manning goes mad in this game while Kolb looks like Kurt Warner. Expect the Cards to win easy.

Bet on the Cards this week to win some free cash.

I'm changing my prediction to the Giants beating the total crap out of us. I'm gonna convince myself the game is hopeless because if I where to suggest to the football gods that I understand them tricky Cardinals and their history, they will allow the Cards to lose just to taunt me. Yup, there is no way the Cardinals beat the Giants. The Giant secondary is worst right now than the Seahawks in my opinion but it won't matter, because Kolb will only have 1.5 seconds to get rid of the ball with our OL and their pass rush. Beanie is due to fumble and he will pick the perfect time to do it early. We will stop Jacobs in the beginning of the game but it will be Bradshaw who will make big runs all over us till the fourth, when we are dead tired from chasing him on delay handoffs and screens...and then Jacobs will come in and finally start having a game and pound us and the clock. And let's not forget another injury to the secondary ;)

Typical Cardinals game where they play over their heads against a team they should get their asses kicked in by, and force some bad errors from Eli en route to a comfortable win.

Fearless prediction: The Cards get more passing yards this coming Sunday than they did in game 4 2010.

Cards traditional home surprise game.

If I would have been asked Monday, Tuesday or Wed I would have said 52-6 Giants.

Today I am feeling like a 27-24 Cards win is very probable. This team usually rises to the occasion in games like this. Being at home will be a huge help. And I think Kolb knows the shiny armor is starting to get chinked up. I look to Hyphen and Smith to have good games. Beanie if healthy may have some fun with these guys. But he should be used conservatively so he doesnt stub a toe or something.

Swarm Fitz, rush the passer, no run game to worry about, our defense has bigger holes than the Titanic, there's almost no reason we should win this game other than it's at home.

So we'll win the game.

That's where I was--even in my football pool. The Lions and Bills go down this week and the Cards get a W where they have a super-sneaky homefield advantage.

I am starting Eli, H Nicks and Antron Rolle on my fantasy team. That means Cards win.

27-24 Giants

I was sure last week was the week we would put it all together. FAIL! This team is going to have to show me they can put it all together in all three phases for an entire game before I pick them against a quality team. That being said, this seems like the perfect spot for an upset/bounce back game at home against a team that just had a monster win within their division, so I think it will be a very close game and would not be at all surprised to see us win. I'll certainly be there rooting my butt off for a big win for big red!!
