Ginns best season was about the same as Houslers best season last year and Housler was playing on a gimpy ankle and bad groin for a good part of it.

Ginn:

35 receptions 556 yards

Housler:

39 receptions 454 yards

Yeah, and I'm sure Ginn never tried to catch the ball with his face even ONCE last season!

Come on that doesn't tell the whole story that is the end of Houslers stats Ginn total numbers look a lot different.

Total Rec yards: 556 Rushing 29 Kick return 595 Punt Return 316

Total yards for 2013: 1496

Awesome I am all for this. Anything to take the pressure off of Peterson returning punts I am all for. Great offseason by Keim and Arians...again!

That was a odd blip for me Mulli, we fixed that soon enough and not the norm... now the OL and TE, that becomes fun for us but a miracle seems to be in progress with the OL lol

A very short blip as Anquan Boldin came on board in 2003 and those other pinheads only played in 2002 because both Boston and Sanders got hurt. Boston was first team all-pro in 2001 setting the franchise record for single season receiving yards. Of course in 2004 we got the face of the franchise in Fitzgerald.

By the way Martay Jenkins still holds the NFL record for most kickoff returns in one season. Just the kind of dubious record the old "Sun Devil Cardinals" would have.

Now there's some history for you Mulli. :D

If Housler and Ginn are gonna be compared, looking at just Receiving:

Ginn: 36 receptions / 24 drops
Housler: 39 receptions / 22 drops

Now, I still wayyyyy prefer Ginn over Housler becuase he adds rushing and returns and is much more dangerous than Housler as a threat period. Our TE's (Carlson and Ballard) are much better than Housler has shown as well.

I know someone mentioned the 9.75 for 3 years but it's over 5 mil guaranteed and with incentives can jump to 14 mil

He didn't have 22 drops. Where did you get that number? That would be legendary to have that many drops on that few receptions.

I would be surprised if he's returning after he signs his 10-12m/yr contract. Until then, wouldn't be a shocker. Ginn should step in immediately on K/O returns though.

Thanks. 5.2 over 3, worst case scenario sounds good to me for his speed and ability to open up the offense.

If he hits the incentives, we'd be happy to pay him the 14.25.

No time to read all 7 pages. This has to be a special teams signing, yes? If so, and the money is right, awesome. He's a dangerous return man.

ST and WR3 to open up the D as a deep threat that you must commit the safety to.

I expect a competition in training camp and Ginn will get the nod unless PP does significantly better on PRs. It makes 0 sense to have PP do it instead if they are even as returners.

to be honest, with the amount of scratch we threw at Ginn, it makes no sense to not have him returning kicks. Paying 3.3 million per for a below average WR doesn't make sense. they have to be thinking he's the Punt/Kick return man as well, or else they wouldn't have paid him as much as they did.

Ginn will be the return man. Just based on what he said in the two video links posted. PP is done as a return man barring injuries.

Adding Ginn creates many more problems for opposing DCs now. A 3 WR set with Ellington in the backfield creates so many matchup problems for the opposing defense. Ellington on a LB is a win every time. Ginn's speed almost forces a team to keep a deep safety to help over the top. This offense is going to be so much fun to watch. Don't be surprised to see this offense post 50 points in a game this season. It should certainly be a top 10 offense. I think Dwyer is going to surprise a lot of people.
