That makes it worse IMO but still not that big a deal. Childish and I would be pissed but s--- happens. Especially when you are the QB of the opposing team.

Its not like they abducted his kids or shaved his dog or something. Lets have a little perspective.
Okay, what would Kurt Warner do? Not this. :)

Ridiculous, juvenile and uncalled for. It is never okay to destroy someone else's property.

they have charged two guys -- aged 37 and 28

interestingly, they said they used diesel fuel.

My understanding is the diesel fuel has a very low "flash" point -- so low that putting it on cool grass, it wouldnt catch fire

it would no doubt kill that grass dead quickly

point is -- i wonder if there was ever any "fire"

You guys do realize it was a 34 and 28 year old men that did this right? They wrote I heart AZ, Go Cards and Go Kurt.... Not racist in my opinion, not meant to be hurtful, . Stupid yes but kinda funny to me. Just my opinion.

I was under the opinion it was juveniles. If this was done by two adults that makes it even worse IMO. There were LITTLE KIDS in that house and someone could have gotten hurt.

You do not go up to someone's private home and do these things. Ever.

burning the grass and setting fire to the grass are 2 different things. Was there an actual fire or did they use a chemical to burn the grass? BIG distinction

I think it was done before the game as Silver said Donovan was using the pics as motivation.

It would be scarier to an African American homeowner because burning lawns is a common tactic that white supremacists still employ today. It turns out that it was just juvenile hijinx, but I'm sure that it created fear and alarm for his wife and his oldest child.
Oh right, good call. Black families all over the country go to bed every night fearing they are gonna wake up and see their yards on fire? Gimme a break. You act like the KKK is running rampant through the country. It's the oversensative far left wing white people that make this stuff a huge deal. The idiots were definitely wrong and should be punished accordinly because you dont destroy other peoples' property, but to call this a hate crime is absurd. A better definiteion would be a stupidity crime IMO.

Who cares people do far worse than kill grass everyday geesh! It probably wasn't a good idea obviously, then again if Donovan doesn't run his big mouth bashing the Cards weeks prior to the game it never happens. I personally don't care that his grass is ruined not like he can't just pay someone to fix it, cry me a river you arrogant smiling *******! Did you catch his little shooting the Cards sideline after the TD pass to the rookie (the bobbled TD) just shows you what kind of jerk he is. I personally don't really dislike McNabb before the past few weeks with his little comments and behavior in a few playoff games, now I could care less for him.

The other night I burned "Go Tony Bennett!" into Wayne Newton's lawn with swimming pool acid.

If I had fully realized the political implications, coupled with the welfare of the Bermuda grass destroyed by my thoughtlessness, I would have used spray paint instead.

Oh, well, you live and learn!

He did that to his own sideline.

A couple of drunk sports fans, that is all. A dumb prank, like running on to the field during a game. There was no racial motivation; if there was, it would have been far more obvious as to their intentions.

Actually now it has come out that there was no fire. They used Diesle to kill the grass. And they had put a cards flag in his tree a couple days earlier.

I see no problem then. Simple vandalism nothing malicious. Big deal.

They've been to his house on 2 separate occasions? Sounds like a restraining order waiting to happen. What if the Cards had lost? These guys are dipspits.
