Don't sell me that bull. Upton was the most recognizable D-Back on the team throughout the majority of his career in AZ; and even during the aforementioned campaign made 2 all-star games and was in the Top 5 for MVP voting. The problem was the assclown who thought dangling him on the trade block for two years was a swell idea. Keeping him and continuing to help him improve would've been the right move. Selling him for pennies on the dollar was not.
The fact you continue to justify the trade and the compensation shows you have more than just a dislike for Upton, but some sort of disconcerting visceral hate. When Prado isn't even outhitting the throw-in piece in the deal (Chris Johnson), it's silly to think the D-Backs were even close to getting equal or near equal value.
Exactly. There are so many people who bought the Towers BS in that Upton was a cancer. If he was still here the offense would be much better. Trumbo, Ross and Prado are not even close to the talent Upton is. What LaRusso has to do is get rid of all the crap that Towers obtained and start over with a plan. This could take 3-5 years to fix. Let's see if Kendrick will keep Towers that long.
