TEs are the scum of the league. They should just do away with that position. TEs are nothing but a waste of money and lots of trouble. Just ask Aaron Hernandez. They are the bullies and thugs of the NFL.
I think it is clear that k9s argument is that Gresham has been a model of inconsistancy throughout his career and he is dealing with a back issue. So he is far from a sure thing. As K9 has said he has no problem if the Cards bring him in on a cheap one year prove it deal. I agree with that as well.
If anything he has been quite consistent. He has averaged 50-60 catches per year with 5 TDs per year. I would call that pretty consistent. I think K9s argument is Gresham has underperformed which I think is questionable. Without knowing what the Bengals asked him to do in their offense we really don't know if he was or wasn't all he could be. The main reason the Bengals are not interested in him has more to do with his demeanor in the locker room than production on the field. From what I read he wasn't exactly a good team player nor a positive influence.

And that kind of production places him solidly in the bottom third of starting TEs in the NFL.
The team placed Gresham on the physically unable to perform list Wednesday, which leaves him ineligible to practice until the team activates him from the list.
He’s not the only tight end that the Cardinals will be waiting on as camp gets underway. Troy Niklas landed on the non-football injury list with a hamstring injury that he presumably suffered while doing work away from the team in the last few weeks. He also had ankle surgery in June, which may have joined John Carlson’s retirement as a reason for the Cardinals’ interest in Gresham.
