by the end of the game against the Chiefs.

I just re-watched the Atlanta game and I was extremely impressed by Grice's athleticism with decent power. His style reminded me a bit of Walter Payton. I don't think we have the next Walter Payton but maybe a 2/3rds version would be great!!!

Taylor reminds me of another Taylor...Chester Taylor. Not a bad thing but not a truly inspirational thing.

P.S. I just googled Grice and Walter Payton after I made the above statement and realized that he used to watch Payton. Which is a good thing. lol

Good article...he is raw. http://www.azcentral.com/sports/asu...arion-grice-finding-success-first-season.html

I have been wanting to see more of him since we picked him up! Hopefully he gets lots of carries this weekend.

I think I've seen it all now... Marion Grice and Walter Payton being compared in the same sentence...

I wouldn't crown him yet but he looked "fresh" in his 5 carries he received last week.

At this point I'll take a 2/20th version of Walter... :D :championship

Ryan Williams idiolized Payton, and even went so far as to give himself the nickname Lil Sweetness. And we know how that turned out.. I don't see what Grice watching Payton has to do with anything.. I used to watch Michael Jordan as a kid.. Guess Im the next great bball player..

I don't understand the infatuation with Grice on this board.. Must be because he went to ASU..

Grice showed a smidgen last week Gee. But not enough for me to lean on him, IMO Stepfan's gotta step it up big time. I really wanted to see Bush do something. A bigger back that can move the pile a little bit. Never thought I'd actually long for the days of Beanie!

All I ask is Grice be evaluated fairly. A lot of ASU fans like him because they know what he can bring to the table similar to UofA fans liking Ka'Deem Carey.

That has a lot to do with it but I think we'd be just as happy if he'd come from Venus as long as he can gain the yards.

I'm already over it.

We beat you last year and lost to Stanford.

You beat us this year and lost to Oregon.

Lol and lost bad. Like beat down bad.

Nobody talks about ASU coach Todd Graham. I think he's a ****ing punk. After losing to AZ he just said his team didn't come out to play. No respect to Arizona.

He's a loudmouth punk who's team doesn't back it up. Everytime he tries to get all badass his team sucks. Ranting and raving on the sideline like a freaking lunatic.

He may be a good coach, but I think he's a bitch and I don't like him.

Did not go to school at either universities, so I have no loyalties residing in Texas, but Grice was very good at scoring when in college. It is more than a knack for scoring when you score that much. His running style is not awkward but it is strange. What makes his running style so funky to me is that he relatively runs upright but still has a very good sense of balance for his height despite that, and he has very good vision (which is hard to notice with our OL, other than deciding which lack of a hole you want to run into when challenging the interior). I think like Taylor, he just needs some extended carries and both backs have not had that of recent with Arians' use of Ellington

Honestly Gee, I think we are just looking for someone who help the Cardinals' running game. If he is from ASU so be it. If he is from U of A, so be it. This is the Cardinals' section. We can talk about the spanking Oregon gave U of A on their thread. But it was so bad, what's to say?

Agreed on the assessment of Grice's funky style, he and Taylor will be a decent 1-2 punch if the o-line does a decent job. Hopefully BA and Tom Moore have been working some magic with Stanton this week. That is the real key to this game.

LittleDavis, I hope you're wrong, since I guess you're inferring that all the other RB's will be out with injuries.

It is not like Grice has a long way to go. Taylor and Williams have not proven anything. All I was claiming, is that, by the end of the game today...Grice will be the best of the three. Simple as that. I really enjoy all of the angles that people try to cover. An average year for Payton was 1400 yards rushing/8 TDS. ..400 yards Rec. 2TDS. So, 2/3rds of that is? Blah blah blah...argue for the sake of arguing...that is the only thing that annoys me about this site. Just like when i claimed that Bucannon should be used as a rover LB after DWash was suspended...and I was called an idiot. Where has he spent the entire year? Some on here need to keep their traps shut until they properly analyze the entire context of what is being said. If you don't understand...ask?

I am in Illinois and don't get into Arizona college sports. I remember seeing Grice's name on this board a couple of times but hadn't paid much attention. After the pre-season game against SD...I remember thinking, "Damn, I wish we had this kid over Taylor." Of course, we had Dwyer at the time and he was a good change of pace back.
