With Ayton going out we just couldn't do anything inside on either end. With no Holmes to be the backup plan we were doomed to get destroyed at that point.

At least Booker didn't get another loss having scored 50 points.

The Suns need stronger big men than Bender and Spalding to compete inside.

So shorthanded....

Literally no one other than Booker could score consistently.

Bender couldn't hang with Valanciunas...like at all...

The only players I want to keep on this team are:

Booker
Ayton
Oubre
Bridges
Holmes

Pretty much everyone else sucks. Johnson is a solid but overpaid player. I'd add him as well if not for his pricetag.

Johnson is overpaid but it's not like we're the ones extending that sort of contract to keep him so I don't have much issue with paying him that. If it was a team option then we'd have to make a choice but as it is I doubt we can trade him without attaching something of value to him.

I'd add Jackson to your list but have him as a fringe rotation player. That is mainly because of his contract as well. We have one more year with him regardless and if he doesn't show something more then I don't think we'll have trouble moving him.

We need a 3rd big right now. Spalding isn't it and I don't think he'll become that guy either. We need an end of the bench big at the end of their career, like a Tyson Chandler type but being paid like the Lakers are paying him instead of overpaying him like the Suns did.

They were in the process of blowing it before Ayton got hurt.

Igor must go.

I'm kind of done with JJ. I think it's time to move on. He still has some trade value at this point and I think the Suns should go for it. Plus if it opens up more PT for Oubre/Bridges then that's a good thing.

I like what I saw of Thomas Bryant the other night. He will be a free agent.

I'm all for trading him for the right return, but I disagree that it is "time to move on"...

Booker is a prime example of the major strides that players can take as they develop and JJ could absolutely have some major leaps in his development coming as well. I can understand with someone like Bender that showed almost nothing in his first 2 seasons, but at least JJ has shown some real flashes of potential.

I can see Warren being used in a trade if healthy otherwise he is depth.

I can understand that but I think part of the issue with JJ is that he needs to be put into the proper role. I'm not entirely sure what that is but he excels when he's the man while Booker and TJ have been out but obviously choosing him over Booker is foolish. If we could get him to step up and be the same guy he is when Booker's out for the 2nd unit then that would be great but I'm not sure if he's capable of taking such a secondary role like that. That would allow him around 15 minutes a game being our primary option and perhaps that's enough to keep everyone happy and productive but he'll want on the court more than that, I'm sure, and when he's sharing the floor with Booker he needs to stick being a defensive guy, not even a 3 & D guy but just a lockdown defender. Again, I'm not sure how he'd look in that role but how he's used as just a backup that fills in here and there isn't working for anyone at the moment.

Jackson has never been the same since he cut his hair. Regrow that hair young man. :wink2:

Gina Mizell‏Verified account @ginamizell

Here’s the #Suns’ health status in a nutshell: Josh Jackson said his sprained ankle felt fine tonight, but he left with an ice pack strapped to his left hand. He thinks he sprained his fingers in warm-ups...because somebody slapped his hand too hard/the wrong way.

Watching Bender out there against Valanciunas tonight reminded of the Italian proverb that Monica Bellucci uses in Shoot 'Em Up - Eggs have no business dancing with stones.
