Well, for those that want them to blow the team up, these kind of losses help that cause.
Actually I think it hurts the cause. Blowing it up only helps us if we can get trade value from our veterans. How we're playing will have a lot to do with who gets interested in our players and how much they are willing to spend. Right now, they're all on the bargain rack as far as the league is concerned.

Rewind game tape and see how many times Suns had 3 guys under their own basket without one of them rotate to the open perimeter shooter, like what happened at the end that led to Kennard's 3 that killed the game. KD was often the culprit, or lack of communication.

There's no reason to trade anyone if we are a winning team.

we suck so bad - bradley on the bench injured yet again but let's keep it beal - he injured himself trying to draw a foul - awkward uncontrollable floppage resulting with all his weight landing on his hip - lucky it wasn't his wrist - we suck so bad - kd throws an inexplicable pass - neither dunn nor morris nor anyone watching the game knew who the pass was to - so it slowly and painfully bounced out of bounds for yet another kd turnover - who started barking at his his teammates for letting it go out of bounds - we suck so bad - book has been a former shell of himself since way back when kd was first injured - even when the big 3 are on the court they aren't playing like they were in the beginning of the season - we suck suck so bad

I disagree. Who cares if we're a winning team, we're supposed to be challenging for a title. We could be a "winning team" and there still could be at least 15 teams with an even better record and a better chance to win it all. If they don't think they can mold this team into a true contender, staying the course is just wasting time and resources (IMO). And I don't think there is a damned thing we can do to turn this squad into a title contender.

OK, but arguably, when have you seen winning teams suddenly just blow it up? I can't think of any.

We are in a fairly unique situation, the closest comp I can think of was the Nets after their trade with Boston. We can't make any real improvements to our roster and we can't tank to try and rebuild. We're screwed. All we have going for us is Ishbia's willingness to spend and the possibility of Booker and Durant playing well enough to bring us several picks in return. None of our options are appealing.

I don't think we have to be winning or playing well. If teams want Booker and KD, it doesn't matter how the Suns are doing. If Ishbia has this team winning and everyone is excited about it, it would be stupid to make a trade at that point from a fan's perspective. If the team stinks, it makes sense for the owner to try and fix it. I'm not arguing against trading guys, just arguing the Suns have to be winning to get value for those guys.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 6th, 2025.

The front office and ownership needs to find the problem and decide if it can be fixed.

One clear area of concern is interior defense, rebounding and inside scoring.

That area was clear as daylight since Nurk joined. Signing plumlee only adds to the continuity.
