Thanks for that, and you're right it's easier than my way.

Highlight the text you want and that will bring up a bar just below that highlighted text offering you two choices (multi or quote) - choose multi if you have other quotes to add.

All these years and I never knew how to do this. btw, your instructions were not complicated.

Thanks

I mangled every part of that... I wondered about the R then decided I'd disremembered Clark's last name. Betty never crossed my mind. I thought of Bus Stop, too, remembering that MM had been in such a movie but didn't think Gable was in it and came up with Truck Stop... Well, I'm working with memories from over sixty years ago and they do get rather tangled.
I think Misfits must be the movie I was trying to come up with.

No problemo.

That kind of stuff kicks my OCD into high gear and I just couldn't resist. Bus Stop is one of my favorite movies and I haven't seen it for a while...I think I'll put it on the list. :)

I had the 45 of Bus Stop but my original copy had a yellowish green band on the left side, same B side though. Bus Stop was written by Graham Gouldman of 10cc fame. He was also a very successful songwriter during the 60's, his catalog includes some of the biggest Yardbird hits (For Your Love, Evil Hearted You, Heart Full of Soul etc). The Hollies used him frequently and had hits with Listen People, No Milk Today and Look Through Any Window (also covered by Gary Lewis & the Playboys).

My movie quote was from The Great Dictator, yes, a Chaplin movie. And one of the greatest on-camera speeches in the history of cinema.

New one that is hopefully easier:

"'Course I'm respectable. I'm old. Politicians, ugly buildings, and ****** all get respectable if they last long enough."

Perhaps the greatest screenplay of all time.

I'm up?

Alrighty, then:

"I now declare this bridge open."

Spoken in falsetto, just before he puts a pair of scissors to use?

And knowing your taste from the music forum, I should have expected a quote from this movie at some point.

When I'm home, everything seems to be right.
When I'm home, feeling you holding me tight. Tight, yeah.
It's been a hard day's night and I'd been working like a dog.

I had to pay homage. The first time I saw it... the second part of the double feature was "Ride the Wild Surf". Remember that one?

Your turn.

Of course, great cast in addition to great music. Brian Wilson helped write the title song. I was a little younger than you then (still am, I think) so I'd probably point to the slightly more juvenile Ferry Cross the Mersey as my favorite (pop musical) of that era. I liked pretty much all the movies that involved rock groups or artists of the day. I was even fond of a couple of movies made by Cliff Richard (& the Shadows), my favorite being Summer Holiday.

Next quote, this one will be remarkably easy or it will likely go unanswered.

"Oh my God, they found Tom."

If you know the answer, can you at least, you know, write the title down? I know it is Hard Days Night, but I had to google it. :)

Sorry, I figured it was obvious when I quoted lyrics from the song that included the words "hard day's night".

No one has guessed the current quote yet (Oh my God, they found Tom) so I'll add some hints. Here's a list of projects, each of which had a star or a co-star from the movie our current quote is from:

Upstairs, Downstairs
Halloween
The Towering Inferno
Space Cowboys
Jurassic Park
Kid Galahad (the Elvis version)
Payback
NCIS
