Guess that means I am a dumb$hit for not knowing it. I remembering hearing it, but had no idea of the movie. My bad. I guess they are all easy if you know them. (Being there)

lol... t-ball stand for me doesn't mean it's a t-ball stand for everyone.

The best line in the entire movie is the one that precedes the white-walls.

Lou.. how'd you like to manage the Cleveland Indians this year?

I don't know. (a line that looks like nothing on the page but the reading of it is just classic.

That one and my favorite used with my best friend about sports all the time:

Starting to come together, Pepper. Starting to come together!

Seriously... any line that Lou Brown says in Major League is the best line in the movie.

TIM!

My kind of team Charlie, my kind of team. You'd be surprised how many times you can fit that line into your daily routine.

I don't know how I missed him but I really never paid attention to Gammon until the mid 80's. After that I made an effort to see most anything he was in. I remember checking him out on IMDB when he passed and being shocked by how full his resume was. And even though I had seen a lot of the shows and movies he'd been in, he just never caught my eye until Silverado.

He's quite possibly my favorite male show biz voice (no disrespect intended to Sam Elliott, Humphrey Bogart, James Earl Jones, Clint Eastwood, Tom Waits, Michael Clark Duncan, Fred Gwynne, Robert Shaw, John Cleese, Jack Nicholson, R Lee Ermey, Christopher Walken, Jean Reno, Sean Connery, Kris Kristofferson, John Wayne, John Houseman, Ving Rhames, Wilford Brimley and a few others).

So I guess nobody is bothering guessing Arthur?

I should have encouraged Dems to take her shot, I find it hard to believe she knew the quote she did without also knowing at least one of the many Arthur quotes I'd used. But since she didn't make it clear whether she was using google or memory, I'd say it's your turn unless she beats you to it.

Yeah, vague answers are killing the game. :)

Just out of curiosity, is that a playful cross-thread dig at .... oh say, nobody in particular? If so, don't bother to call the police, I'm here already.

H: That too! But it's abandonment, it's abuse, it's, "My uncle put his ping-ping in my papa!"... and then they all come out here! I swear to God, it's like somebody took America by the East Coast, and shook it, and all the normal girls managed to hang on.

Harmony: OK, everyone who hates Harry raise your hand!
[All the girls in the club raise their hands.]

GP: See that? Obedient little ******* too.

"If so, don't bother to call the police, I'm here already." Now, here's a quote I know - heard it yesterday in an episode, no doubt a rerun. of "Dalziel and Pascoe". I expect variations of it have graced many films.

Yeah, it's a quote from Martin Riggs in Lethal Weapon 2. I know a lot about movies, much less about TV shows. I just looked this one up and it sounds like something I'd enjoy.

Is nobody going to answer this one?

If not, SO91, go ahead and give it away and post another one.

I'd answer it but I'd have to google it to do so. Nothing about that quote is at all familiar to me.

I googled it & it's an awesome movie. I say we move on & list another quote.

Okay, you raised my curiosity so I googled it even though I was sure I didn't know the movie. And guess what? I watched that movie about 20 years ago. Which is weird since the movie is only about a decade old. I don't remember it well (obviously, since the quote was foreign to me) but what I do recall is that I was very disappointed in it at the time. I gave away several thousand DVD's a few years ago and I know it was in the first batch I got rid of. But now I have to wonder if I was just in the wrong mood when I watched it?
