Here's some hints, the actress second from the right as you look at that screen shot is the daughter of an actress. The mom isn't a huge name but she has a lot of credits on her resume including playing a small part in one of my favorite movies, Tremors (she gets pulled beneath the ground while hiding in her station wagon).

Back to this movie. The star of this film has had many chances to become the next big thing but it's never really taken off for him. Still, he's been very active having starred in several TV series and he's been a lead and a character actor frequently on the big screen.

Some of us first took notice of him in another movie where he played alongside another actress with the same last name. Since they played brother and sister in that movie, a lot of people just assumed that "Supergirl" was his big sister in real like too.

And the screenshot movie has a strong Valley connection too.

Hope those clues weren't more confusing than helpful.

She has also been romantically involved with the lead of this movie which, though filmed in California, was supposed to be set in Arizona (Paradise Valley IIRC).

These are totally actors and actresses I do not think I watch. For some reason, I remember plots of movies but am terrible with names of actors and actresses. So you can say so and so married this person and dated that person, and I am like, huh? I also do not follow Hollywood gossip, etc.

I'm like that too but there are a few exceptions. Belushi for example, and the Samantha Mathis/River Phoenix connection is another. Also, I'm a huge fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers, or was anyway. I lost a little interest in them when I realized the "assist" he was given in his downward spiral by one of that group.

How in the world do you think that will HELP?

I was hoping that the River Phoenix connection would lead people to realize that was Samantha Mathis in the screenshot and then the mention of another of her famous boyfriends would lead someone to her co-star, Christian Slater. Throw in the fact it was supposed to be set in the Valley area, I thought that wrapped it all up nicely. I guess I was wrong.
