For one, if he was a wuss his teammate wouldn't have stuck up for him lick that. For another, KFFL has reported that the doctors pulled him and he didn't pull himself.

Do you think if Favre was told by a doctor to sit out a NFC championship game, he would? I highly doubt it. Cutler was riding the stationary bike and walking around. He could of played but instead, he quit on his team in the biggest game of the year. Philip Rivers had surgery the week before the AFC championship game in 2008 against the Patriots and played that game with a torn knee ligament. Some players want it more and some don't.
Also, of course his teammates are not going to bash him to the media. They will do it when the media is not around.

That's where he screwed himself. If he's so hurt, he should take the pads off, or get off his feet.
The guy is going to be just good enough to break the hearts of whatever team he plays for until he retires.
He was sacked more than any QB in NFL history. Those hits build up. He was on the bike trying to show that he could go back in.
The NFL is a different animal now then it was when Favre was playing. Back then you could ignore a doctor. That's not a possibility anymore.

They couldn't have MRIed it during the game. If he had insisted he could play, he would've stayed in the game. It was his call, not the doctors.

He played well enough last week. Brett Favre was hit throughout his career and played in 297 games in a row. No way he would take himself out in a game with the Super Bowl on the line. Players would rather see their qb giving it his all instead of leaving up to a second string qb who threw 26 passes all year. I think he lost the respect of some of his teammates and the Bear fans will never forgive him.

Favre played more than a few games with the Packers where in today's NFL the doctors would have not let him play.
In today's era of injury panic and protect the QBs I can't imagine the doctors allowing him to go back in. If he really tore a ligament in his knee, the doctors, and Lovie made the right decision.
It's a really screwy day when I'm defending Jay Cutler.

He is contradicting himself a lot right now on Twitter as we speak. Says he never called out Cutler. So what does this mean:

Dockett is just echoing thoughts from around the league. I certainly thought Cutler looked fine on the sidelines. Jimmy Johnson lit Cutler up worse after the game.

Well, you and Darnell have something in common. Both short a few credits to a Medical degree.
D D has way too much time on his hands along with a teenage girl's habits for tweeting and texting. Too bad very few want to wait for the medical diagnosis. BTW, check the long line of crippled ex NFLers who gutted it out. The league has become much more concerned with the long term effects of player injuries, while Neanderthals, like Dockett, don't get it and never will.
Not comparing the NBA to the NFL, but think about Grant Hill's decision to grind it out in the playoffs, and in the process permanently shredded his ankle and destroyed his career.

Sorry, but I don't buy the spin job coming out of Chicago right now. Cutler's body language seemed to be that of indifference to me personally. He just lacks the warrior mentality in my opinion, and I don't think he has what it takes to fight through the hard parts of the game and take his team on his back. He hasn't really done much in his career (oh wow, he beat the Seahawks in a playoff game!) and otherwise this was his first trip to the playoffs. The guy is a total loser in my book.
Of course, I never really liked him to begin with and like him even less every time I see some pre-game piece that tries to spin him in a positive light - usually turns out to just show what a jack ass he is.
