Man the Hawks just got to much veteran leadership and players in there prime.

Just to much for these young Suns.

What a damn joke. Igor worst coach in the NBA? Maybe.

This was a game we should have won but don't kid yourself, they absolutely have the veteran leadership that we lack. They have great young players and solid mid-career vets. We have great young players and a really old guy.

This really goes back to our discussion about Trae Young.

Young was the leader for the Hawks. He sets up the players. The Suns do not have this. And he is a rookie.

I think BC is talking about how Igor sets up his offense.
Yup! All experienced Centers would have had a problem if they had to spend so much of the 24-second clock outside before heading in for a pass.

The Coach is setting up the rookie to fail. Why would he? Because he is rigid. One of those whose players have to fit his mold. The danger of an inexpensive coach who is a lifer NBA assistant.

Igor is doing the post-game show now. As after every game, he is explaining failure. Is that what he is getting paid for?

I don't understand why people blame the coach for the players pissing away the lead in the final 3-4 minutes. The coach wasn't the one calling for bad shots early in the shot clock or telling players not make an effort on the fast break or to stay back on one side of the court for too long. It's amazing how people blame Igor for things that he's not responsible for. I guess if he got a technical for arguing with the refs it would all be forgiven though.

This loss is on our "bigs". Ayton and Holmes weren't challenging shots inside and they weren't able to box out the Hawks either.

Hawks won because of their young core of 3 whipped our tail and our coaching staff completely sucks azz. Not because of veterans or anything else. 10 in a row now. Disgusting and pathetic

He was aggressive in college, so I’m not sure where you’re getting that. Ayton’s problem is he’s being improperly utilized in the offense. The 4th quarter was evidence for why this team needs a PG. so many contested outside jumpers when you have a big who’s shooting >60% underneath the basket. Also, Ayton is asked to set 3 picks per possession. You don’t draft a center #1 to have him set picks all game. If that’s the case, we should’ve just kept Len

Ayton sets a pick and then sets another pick by design. This isn’t soft mentality, this is poor play design

I don't things are going to change unless Igor modifies his offense.

I don't either. But a lot of people here are absolutely positive that it's all on Koko and maybe they're right, I just don't know. Holmes had a bad night tonight and Ayton's shot was off but we were plus 8 with DeAndre on the court so I don't see him as the reason we lost.

Then Igor needs to go.

I always think about what Ayton’s impact would be in the SSOL offense.
Of course we don’t have a Nash-type PG, but for Ayton to make one pick and then go to the basket would work wonders.

Do you understand how pick and rolls work? One player sets a pick and then rolls to the basket to get a shot.

Ayton sets a pick and then just stops.

Well it would be better if he got in the post but he tends to pass it out even when he has the advantage (including from 2 feet away).

He has an insanely soft mentality

He's being told to do that. It's Igors motion offense. It's almost like he can't be bothered by Ayton

Just putrid rebounding and interior D again.
No success in this league giving up 120+ on a regular basis.

The Denver coach Michael Malone who should win CoY honors said it yesterday. Tough (active) D, share it, and take care of it = W's.

Nice game by Okobo. Keep him in there the rest of the year.

Because the entire team looks lost, defeated, and frustrated along with accustomed to losing. That’s on the coaches.

Listening to Booker talk everyday is like watching a pot heating on the stove. Eventually, it’s going to boil over.

Honestly, I think the talent on the team sans PG is good enough to challenge for an eighth seed in the playoffs, but the team looks completely disoriented game in and game out.

Look Ayton is soft but he will be so much better once his surroundings improve. Teammates and coaching.

Btw that was a statement loss. Top-4 pick guaranteed.
Let's just hope it's with the Suns. ;)

We had a one-man bench tonight. Oubre with 11 points, 6 boards and 4 steals.

The rest of the bench had 2 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists combined, with the bench covering a quarter of the game.

You're not going to win a 48-minute game that way.

It's either Igor adapts to the players or he needs to go.

I think Ayton would excel at SSOL and so would a lot of players.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting we lost this game because they have playable vets. But I do believe we are in this mess because we lack mature veterans of consequence. Unlike you and others, I'm not ready to blame the coaching yet but I certainly expected a little bit more out of this team.

This question must be asked. Is the tank on, in hopes of grabbing another couple of high picks?

The danger is that while they wait for two more miracle workers, who will be left to add them to when Booker and Ayton have had enough?

Are the powers that be faulting Igor for his placid behavior or does it fall right into their lazy/lack of planning? Let's ask the General Manager. Yeah, right! :(

I actually don’t think this team is tanking. I think the players are legit playing hard, especially harder than last season. The problem is they look disorganized with their sets and when they get down, they get down in a hurry.

All this Ayton bashing and riding Igor's jock is a joke. What has Igor done as a head coach to earn this loyalty? You aren't getting rid of Ayton anytime soon and you can't change the past. It's Igor's responsibly to develop Ayton and put him a position to succeed. It's his job to win games with what he has, and he's failing consistently.

I didn't mean the players tanking. I mean management.

The Suns next best chance to break their losing skid is February 21st at Cleveland.
