Wars are always won on the ground.
What is the last war that the U.S. won? It wasn't Korea (which is still in a state of 'truce'). Or Viet Nam (peace with honor). Or Iraq. Or Afghanistan.
It was our involvement in WWII and that was 72 years ago. And it could be that the next one will be coming through the air with the two "hairdo's" taking their macho game too far.
Back to the NBA, a lot of the action takes place in the air. Jump shots, stuffs, rebounds, blocks.
I would rather see the Suns emulate a sleek jet racing through the air than a plodding tank, to use that metaphor.
How many winning seasons have the Suns had in the last eight years? The answer is "1". How many more years are the TANK commanders going to encourage losing? 'Hoping that we luck out in a draft.
Seriously! It is not serving the community. It is not serving the fans. And it's not doing a helluva lot for the players, either. It is time for a professional approach.
I have wanted to see Bledsoe gone, as well as Knight, because as Point Guards, they have not made the rest of the team better. But benching our "star" veteran was obviously poor strategy when trying to trade him a season later. It is amateur! It is time for the Suns to advance beyond the archaic strategy of 'ground wars', which have brought our country and the Suns no victories.
And, with a change in most of our coaches, this is a golden time to move on.
