It's not losing heart they just don't have the horses.

TJ Warren just isn't agressive enough. He can score but he just flat out goes missing.

Other than those two where is the offense gonna come from? Len, Chandler, Bender, Chriss, Jackson are all below average on the offensive end for various reasons at this stage in their careers.

Who's the best scorer off the bench?

This is probably what Cotton Fitzsimmons would tell them. They don't have the talent.

I know ya'll like Ulis, but man he kills us more than half the time. Misses open shots, some turnovers here and there, gets abused when he's on defense. I love his heart and how pesky he is. i've been watching our lead every time he comes in the game and the lead just increases. He runs the offense better than James and anyone on the court for the Suns but that isn't saying much. Believe me i love his game, effort and heart but he really doesn't net anything positive for us. The lack of knock down shooters does hurt his assist numbers though.

Watching this can't help but think what a great backcourt Dragic and Booker would be

The Suns have an option to covert James to a standard NBA contract.

They can but they would need to waive someone, they're at the max 15 roster spots as is. Some young players can have their contracts converted to Two-Way contracts, like Derrick Jones Jr and Davon Reed, but I think James should be sent down. Converting Reed might be an option since he's injured but I'm not sure how that would work with his injury, could he still stay with the Suns and their training staff or would he have to stay away? That would be kind of kicking him while he's down though, being injured and having his contract converted because he'd lose a good amount of money this year.

Ulis does not play like the player that many fans liked last season including myself. It could be related to off season surgery or his game has been taken away by scouting. Whatever the reason, he is not the same player.

The Suns really need another center not named Len.
Len has 4 points, 3 boards, 3 turnovers and 4 fouls halfway through the 4th quarter while playing against a real NBA Center.

Is there anyone who still suggests that he is our Center of the future? We've seen the future and it is now.

Len and James are consistently hurting us out there.

As for Ulis... he thrived in games where the competition level was low, he put up stats in games where we were consistently getting crushed. In competitive basketball a PG needs to be able to either shoot a lot better from the outside or finish at the rim better than he does to be consistent. At his height, it's shooting. Even last year when people were clamoring for him to be the everyday PG... it was not viable while he shot 26% from 3pt. Unselfish, good passer, but when the defense can sag off him and dare him to shoot then it renders him really ineffective.

If we actually want to compete I feel like playing Daniels off the ball and having Booker run the offense is probably our best back court right now.

I don't think so BC.

I really like the jerseys this season, they're the best they've been since the Barkley years IMO. I hope they stick with that design for a couple of years, teams change them too often just to boost sales.

Just now... the foul that Chriss committed against Whiteside in the closing minute, happened because Len, as usual, wandered into no mans land... left his man, but still didn't cut off the ball handler, leaving Whiteside alone under the basket.

He does this all... the... freaking... time. His defensive instincts are absolutely dreadful. What little rim protection he provides is totally invalidated by the... I would guess... 10 times per game (not trying to exaggerate, I'd guess it is once every other minute he plays) he completely whiffs his defensive assignment leading to an uncontested basket.

I just wish the PHOENIX and SUNS wasn't so cartoonish. Reminds me of the Rockets look in the 90s.

I agree if the Suns want to compete. James and Ulis could come off the bench.

The Suns are now in the position, do they want to improve this season or let it go. It may be the latter.

Why are they dragging this out? It's over, has been for the last 20-30 seconds on the game clock.

I don't know if I'd say they were cartoonish, maybe animated, but that's semantics really and also personal preference.

Mike James has comeback down to earth he's horrible. Most unaware PG I've ever seen. Daniels on fire and does he even try to look for him Nope he goes rouge and ISO he pulls this same stuff to much.

Pull the trigger on the Okafor trade McD. We need an offensive minded center in the worst way.

I'd rather have Monroe, all things considered. Monroe might even be cheaper to retain than Okafor if he fits well. I'd be surprised if a team offered him $17+ million a year even though he's about in his prime at 27. Okafor will get paid based on potential if he plays well with a new team though. Seeing Monroe for at least a couple of games should help show what an inside presence adds to the club though before pulling the trigger on any deal for additional talent.

Hopefully he'll be in the lineup within the next week. I know he's "injured" but he was practicing with the Bucks in full contact drills. I saw a video posted where he was alerted of the trade during a practice.

Monroe’s career PER is over 20. He is an under rated player. I would love to get a look at him in a Suns uniform.

I've seen Monroe's PER mentioned a lot in the trade analysis in a positive way. Looking at the advanced stats last year for the Bucks, Monroe had a very similar Defensive Rating as Giannis per 100 possessions and Giannis was an All-NBA Defensive Team player last year. I'm not saying Monroe is that good of a defender but I think he's better than some people here have given him credit for. I really hope we decide to audition him for the rest of the season, or at least until the trade deadline, than do anything quick because this team could really use a contributing veteran presence, not just a veteran voice in the locker room but one who can perform on the court.

He's been under appreciated almost everywhere he's been in the NBA. Kidd wanted to use him as a 6th man for some reason and never gave him much of a chance despite the Bucks paying him big money. Before he went there though he played really good for Detroit but they chose Drummond over him, which was a good move at the time but that's also the same front office that decided to try and add Josh Smith to the team and that they could play Smith, Monroe, and Drummond together. It was the opposite of the IT, Dragic, Bledsoe mess the Suns created.

HE kinda reminds me of James Edwards for all you old timers. Always put up good stats. Never really thought of much though. But became a key part of some very good teams.

I was at this game tonight and I noticed that Mike James can be a bit of a black hole. More than once, I caught him shooting early in the clock with teammates open.

Also, if we had if we had at least three more people with Dudley's hustle out there, we'd be 7 and 4, instead of 4 and 7.
