ATL's rushing D looked like crap today. And the passing D looked even worse. Against the RAMS .... AT HOME..... WHEN THEY NEEDED TO WIN!!!

If we can keep Turner to 100 we will win by 10 or more. I have watched Atlanta a lot this year..... No matchup is better for us.



I will be betting all of my ASFN money on it! IT WILL BE SO!!!

i disagree that atlanta is best matchup.. just seems tampa was best considering no offense... but oakland took care of that... buh bye bucs lol

It'll be a good match up. Your team is an inspirational story for every team in the league. I think it will be a tremendous match up, if the Cards show up to play. Hard to imagine that at one point, this team was 7-3, and now is barely a .500 ball club. Could be a myriad of things for us, like clinching too early and resting in our laurels for the rest of the season.

We'll see what happens.....keep coming back so we can talk some smack

We havent been playing all that well lately but I like our chances a lot, especially at home where the fans will be the loudest they have ever been and that place can ge loud.

Matt Ryan has hit the rookie wall it seems. He has played, well, like a rookie QB three weeks in a row now. Best rookie QB to come in the league since Manning though no doubt, but the wall is starring him in the face and he hasnt jumped it yet.

Our pass rush as a whole is actually better. We get a sack for ever 15.8 attempts while Atlanta gets a sack for every 16.2 attempts. Both Pass Defenses are below average.

Atlanta's below average pass D, 2nd most penalized defense, dont create a lot of turnovers, and along with one of the worst rushing D's in the league allowing 5 yards a carry is a really great matchup for our offense.

But the opposite is true on us as I dont like our match on D against Atlanta's O if Ryan actually jumps that rookie wall he has been behind the last 3 games, plus they dont turn the ball over all that much.

holy moly... you study stats!... if this game was written on paper... i'd say arizona by a landslide!... but paper dont show momentum or confidence... whose side is that on?....

Welcome DB. We will be forced to play 8 men up to take away Turner and we will have to get a lead.
I think our game plan over the last few weeks has been reeled in because of the shellacking we took, so why show anything.
If we can hold you guys under a 100 yards rushing, don't turn the ball over, play solid special teams and force you guys to play catch-up, we WILL win the game.
If we don't do all of the above , we won't win.

i think i'll agree with that. our whole objective will be to run alot and keep kurt off the field. if we get in a shootout we'll lose.

If anybody had predicted we would be 9-1, NFS West Champs and a home playoff gamer in Aug these folks would have trashed them.

Will we beat the Falcons, I'd give it a 70/30 chance of yes as the game is here.

We've been pretty blessed on the whole with classy fans from other teams stopping in. Reading some of your posts I think the trend continues.

After I've had the chance to watch some more of the Falcons I'll post more thoughts, but I caught a lot of the early games, so here's my thoughts:

1) Turner is the real deal. Fresh career legs and veteran vision really do make a huge difference. I didn't think he'd have anything like the success he has, as big a fan as I was of Justin Blalock or otherwise.

2) Ryan's a guy I didn't buy as a pro prospect. Another swing and another miss. He's been dynamite.

3) Roddy White looked like the ONLY passing option early in the season (although I'm a big believer in Harry Douglas), if that hasn't changed, put DRC on him and roll (not Rolle).

CLASS fans are ALWAYS welcome here! Atlanta has ALOT to be proud of this year! I call Charleston, S.C. "home", and I dated a girl from Atlanta. Very sweet! I grew up "yankee"/CT. but "escaped" as quickly as I could. LOL As for the game?? Well, this is "new" ground for BOTH our teams. It'll be interesting to see who plays with more composure. I think the BIGGEST edge, and it's a slim one at that, is that we are a MUCH BETTER team at "home". We should be good for (30) points. Question is how many will your "Dirty Birds" score? Welcome! You guys are the best first round matchup we could have hoped for...your running game will be tested in UOP..we get our D fired up. If we can score fast on you with Fitz and a rested Boldin, and get some running game from a fresh-legged Edge, I think we will beat you.

This is going to be great. I do like the Falcons and many players on them, but suffice it to say I'm hoping those birds find themselves inside a working jet engine. Playing in the Nest is a rough.

6 of our 9 wins in the division, Thats 3-7 outside the division
Think our coaching staff is not very good at all
Think once 1 of the 3 teams in our division even remotely rebuilds next year we are out of the playoffs (no wildcard coming out of the NFC West)

Yup but if we get doused in the playoffs go 6-10 next year 3-13 the year after then fire whiz cheese and the other "darksiders" (whatever that is really) are the first to say they knew it all along. Meanwhile they pile on people who simply arent all enamored with the product on the field.

Dont worry I was in this position in 2201, 2002, 2003 etc etc etc
