AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! My DVR stopped recording before the ending
Silar had just revealed himself to Peter and then it cut off

Could someone please tell me the ending?

Peter and Sylar were fighting in the hall, Suresh holding the door telling Hiro and Ando to go and return to the past. They returned to the "present" with the comic book copy that Suresh had.

I think Hiro says "Now for the hard part".(stopping Sylar)

I think you can rewatch the episodes at http://www.nbc.com/video

Here is the link for last night:

Okay, here's what I remember--I'll re-watch & see if I'm missing anything:

Sylar & Peter got into a fight with each of them using their radioactive fire-man powers. They didn't show much of this, but it looked cool. Mohinder killed the Haitian instead of Hiro, so he could escape & try to fix the past. Hiro & Ando made it back in time, and are in New York before it explodes. They did confirm that it WAS Peter that blew up NY, not Sylar. Hiro needs to kill Sylar, since they were able to save Claire, he can't re-gen. Isaac's last comic book before Sylar killed him showed Hiro stabbing Sylar. Hiro is not looking forward to his task

My thoughts on Peter's scar:
It's bothered me why Peter would have a scar, since he can regenerate. I decided that a) Hiro gave him the scar, and b) the Haitian must have been around to prevent Peter from healing.

Man, I can't wait until next week!

I saw an interview with the actor and he was so upset. "Everyone's going to hate me for beating up Hiro!"

Can I just say that this episode really made Parkman out to be a not-so-great guy?

Yes you can.

I never much liked Parkman, to wimpy in "real" time and way to mean in "alternate" time but I guess he serves his purpose.

Excellent repartee between Hiro and well Hiro I guess. "I scare me", classic.

something i just thought about

the show left us with two dead (or incopacitated) characters in the future, Hiro and the Hatian. the producers COULD run with that.

could we see the sylar from the steal both of those powers after defeating Peter (but no killing him) in the fight?

Peter said Ando died in the explosion. Hiro can save him by killing Sylar
Which isn't really right, since
we know it's Peter that explodes NY, not Sylar. Everyone THINKS it was Sylar that explodes NY, so they THINK if they kill him, NY will be saved...but will it?

Awesome Episode!

did I miss it, or did they say...

...how Ando died? AND can Hiro save Ando too?

"I scare me" - Classic!!!

Peter told Ando that he died when the bomb went off in New York. Hiro can save Ando by stopping the bomb.

One thing that bothered me was that Future Hiro said he stabbed Syler in the stomach (just like the comic). The whole premise for "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" was based around that belief that Syler would die if the Cheerleader lived (thus Syler wouldn't have blown up). Future Hiro believes it was Syler who exploded and not Peter. Only Peter knows it was him because everyone else around him died.

Anyway, Claire didn't die, so how did Slyer live?

hmmm...
I don't know if Sylar can take their powers after they're dead. I kinda got the impression that they HAD to be live when he did it, but I don't know. They've never explicitly said, that I'm aware of

They're in an "alternate" future--the one created BEFORE Hiro went back & told Peter "Save the cheerleader, save the world" Since they saved Claire, the future is changing, but they have to make sure Hiro still stabs Sylar & kills him. Don't think too deeply on time travel issues--it will mess with your head & ruin the show!

Or maybe the "Future if they failed" is what will really happen. Hiro still stabs Syler but doesn't kill him with the stab. Possibly Linderman revives him. Still though, what current Hiro and Ando left was the makings of an epic battle between Syler and Peter. Something that could very well be the lead in to a series finale when they later revisit it after they realize there is nothing they can do to stop the future.

Maybe that's why Hiro is so emo now. Not only because Ando dies, but because he finds he is helpless despite his great power.

Except...
"Future" Hiro gets all excited looking when he learns that they DID save the cheerleader. BUT, I thought they kinda covered all of that with Charlie. Hiro pretty much learned then that he can't change things. He said as much, at least.

And WHERE are my manners??? Welcome to the board!!! I already love you for your ability to make full, proper sentences without grammatical errors. You'll learn I am a complete grammar/spelling nerd.

I'll take something deep-fried & covered in chocolate, with some ice cold milk to wash it down.

Awful, awful writing and most of the actors stink--although a few are quite good, especially the Japanese ones.

The show was pretty bad at the beginning, but picked up speed towards the end. The preview looked 100 times more interesting than the pilot. But to be fair, most pilots stink for new shows anyway. I may keep watching this one, if just for Ali Larter and jailbate cheerleader... :D

Still hate it, Chap? ;)

I'm really liking where the show is going. It seems to pick up steam each week. GREAT episode on Monday, and I didn't expect it to be.

My theory is that there were too many dang spoiler posts in this latest thread :)

Okay, seriously...

Only Peter knows he is the one who blew up. Sylar lived because Hiro didn't kill him...yet, so he killed Nathan, took his form and did the Linderman plan.

Now, if Hiro DOES kill Sylar, that still doesn't stop the explosion, unless I missed something. Maybe Sylar does something to Peter that makes it happen? I dunno...I may need to rewatch it.

Why did Peter blame Sylar when he was talking to Jessica/Nicky?

OH, and that fight at the end...that we never saw...the red glow around Sylar's hands, and the blue around Peter...I almost got chills that was so freaking great.

I almost hope Sylar doesn't die because he is one great, great bad guy.

The writing still isn't the greatest (it's more explanation than realistic), but the show's plotting is really well done, and of course the effects are good. Go back and watch the pilot, then watch last week's show and you'll see a HUGE difference in quality.

There's no way Syler dies. Hiro is back in the current time with the same mission that Future Hiro had (kill Syler). Syler lived then without having Claire's power. The same thing will play out. Hiro is traveling back thinking Syler is the bomb that explodes, and that he will be able to kill him.

Based on everything we've seen so far, I believe the only person that will be able to kill Syler will be Peter.

And thanks for the welcome! :)

I think the point they were trying to make was that Sylar DID have Claire's power in Future Hiro's past. That's why he told Peter to "Save the cheerleader, save the world". He was trying to alter the past. The problem with all of Future Hiro's timelines is that he thinks Sylar exploded still.
You're welcome, and DAMN! I love this show!!

If you are saying there are way too many hidden messages I couldn't agree more.

This is my problem with this whole idea of going back in time and killing Sylar to stop the explosion. If you really want to stop him why not do it like they Terminator? Just go back a little farther in time and kill him before he starts stealing powers from others. Or if you feel guilty about killing him before he's done anything wrong just wait until after he kills the first guy.

I mean if both Hiros can exist at the same time why this the future one have to rely on the present-day Hiro to do the killing in the first place? Why doesn't he just do it himself?

Oh yeah, I also thought the acting in this episode was some of the worst since the beginning.

I think I've must be the only one here that really didn't care for that episode.

Joe
