Yes, Kensei is his name. I also get the impression from some of the other heroes info that he is actually an ancestor of Hiro's.

the title "Generations" for volume 2 is a dead giveaway he's an ancestor.

So should we start the guessing game on who the "very bad man" is that Molly was referring to?

Hiro's Dad?
The old man Peter took care of in the beginning? (he's dead, but really?)
Peter's Mom? <- My guess!
Nathan?
Was it Linderman?

or, as long as anything is possible, what about kensei? he could even have "evolved" to the highest peak and become the cockroach (per mohinder's suggestion).

Let's hope the producers paid attention to the Lost finale tonight--maybe they'll learn a little something.

Yeah, they are still Lost Lite. Not that that is a bad thing, but they just don't have the "omfg did I just see that" panache of the Lost crew when they are on their game.

:stupid:

The finale seemed anticlimactic and lacking in direction to me. It wasn't horrible but was disappointing to me. I mean 2 teases in a month with a Sylar and Peter showdown only to be short changed?!?!?! Come on.

Wow. As if the show wasn't already complicated enough to follow ...

i wonder how the poor writing is going to keep up with the characters and story line.....

on second thought, the show was pretty damn good and just going any sort of direction on a whim.....so telling a story for an episode without having to key it into the show should work quite well for them.

its going to be a disaster.

Eh. That's how I feel about it and feel about almost all television nowadays. The best TV is on the cable channels, like HBO and Showtime, as well as the BBC...shows like Rome, Carnivale, Robin Hood, The Tudors.

At any rate, Sylar needed to die. It was just soooooooo lame that he ended up crawling away at the end. Yawn.

They are adding 6 new "Heroes" to the show next season. Wow? It's going to be interesting to see how they juggle that one.

http://www.mania.com/55082.html

The creators for Heroes were not kidding around when they said a few months back that Chapter 2 may not necessarily be the same cast and story as Chapter 1. Six new actors have been cast as appearing in the upcoming second season of NBC's smash-hit Heroes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Alias" star David Anders, Barry Shabaka Henley, Holt McCallany, Eriko Tamura (a Japanese popstar), Lyndsy Fonseca and Dianna Agron have all been cast for the upcoming season with new recurring characters.
Here's the details.
Remember how Hiro was hellbent on finding the sword of ancient warrior Takezo Kensei's sword to get his powers back? Well, actor David Anders has been cast as none other then Takezo himself. He will play a leading character in the next season.
Fonseca and Agron will play California based cheerleaders which tie into Claire's story. I guess you can't take the cheerleader out of Claire's character even if you change locations.
Barry Henley will play a NYC Detective.
Holt McCallany will play an Irish thug.
These six new stars join Nick d'Agosto who last week landed a recurring role on "Heroes" next season, as well as Dania Ramirez, who was cast as a new regular.

The writers are obsessed with cheerleaders and not seemingly in tune with American culture. If you took a poll, I think a vast majority of Americans would simply prefer to see a cheerleader of any stripe or color die. It would be sort of a voyeuristic fantasy to cope with latent high school angst.

Sounds like the bad, unimaginative writing and overall direction of the show is still going to suck. Too bad; if the writing were good, this would be an incredible show. As it was, I was barely interested enough to watch through the season ender, which upset me.

And they are bringing it back.

Heroes is coming back to TV. Four years after being unceremoniously cancelled, NBC revealed during its Olympic coverage that the series will return for a 13-episode miniseries run in 2015. Creator Tim Kring is already onboard, but plot details are currently slim.

Even though Heroes flamed out in the seasons before its cancellation, it's impact can't be denied. NBC expressed excitement about bringing the property back, even teasing appearances from the original cast. "Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often," said NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke in a statement, "and we thought it was time for another installment. "Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in." By the look of it, the series is following a similar formula as Fox's 24, which is due out this May.

Interesting. Loved season 1. Season 2 was OK. Lost interest at the start of season 3 and stopped watching. From what I hear, I didn't miss much.

This show started so brilliantly, but the idiot writers did their best to kill it. And succeeded. Unless the writers have changed, I have zero interest in this.

This is the exact same arc I followed. Loved season 1, 2 not so much and by 3 I was like wow this fell apart quickly...

Not sure I will jump back in. Although if Hayden Panittere is back, the odds will increase.
