It's cool if you don't like the show, but do you really need to come here and **** in our corn flakes? Would be nice to come read threads about people discussing the show rather than just saying how much it sucks.

I think the last two episodes have done a good job of "refocusing" the storyline, as long as the first 4 episodes are viewed as an extended introduction to this season.

I believe that it could use some more streamlining though.

We've got the two factions established now with most of the major players in place, the storyline should consolidate into the Primatech vs. Pinehearst at this point.

Agreed. The last 2 episodes have been more focused. It felt like at the start they were trying to jam every single person in every episdode. Hopefully, this is a trend that continues.

Variety reported a big shakeup behind the scenes of NBC's "Heroes" on Sunday as writers/co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb were fired.

The duo had been with the show since its first season and were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/executive producer Tim Kring.

"Heroes," produced by Universal Media Studios, has struggled in the ratings its third season. It's understood that Alexander and Loeb were let go because of NBC executives' frustration with the creative direction of the show.

The trade added that the show is also said to have been dealing with hefty budget overruns this season that are going well beyond its already sizable $4 million per-episode pricetag.

Sounds like they want Tim to be more involved in day to day and take control over creative direction. Sounds like Tim Kring is not square, front and center in the hot seat.

Anyone keeping up with the series still?

Last two episodes have been pretty good.

I'm happy they have Hiro on a new path. He's actually kindof humorous as a 10 year old.

Speed Girl is still annoying, but at least she has more of a purpose now.

I am really really into Sylar's character at the moment. I thought the scene with Elle was a bit overdone, but is starting to bring him more into the realm of real person rather than serial killer.

The end of this weeks episode had the two groups. Essentially Heroes and Villians. The problem with these groups is that they all seem mixed up from where they are supposed to be.

Hopefully the eclipse is like some sort of reset button where people who lost their power get it back (like Peter, and maybe even Adam Monroe, but I doubt it).

Mohinder confuses me. He was a monster and was sticking people to his wall, now he's sympathetic and is mercy killing his test subjects?

I think Hiro sucks actually, it's like he's back to how he was in the first season. We've seen that already, no need to see it again...

And I really hate the idea for the next episode with the eclipse...one of the worst plots in any superhero story is the "loss of powers"...cause you know they'll get them back eventually...

Somehow the acting and dialogue are getting even worse.

Yeah, acting sucks, writing is horrible...I'm seriously so sick of "We're going to save the world Nathan."

I mean, come on...aren't there OTHER plots we can focus on?

I really hope the "Fugitives" storyline that's supposed to be coming soon helps improve the show, because it's just bad right now.

Sorta disagree. I didn't like the episode 2 episodes ago, but I did like the ending of last night's. However, the best character of Season 1 is now one of the worst of Season 3 (Hiro). Everyone else is FINALLY contributing to the overall endgame except for Hiro and Ando, who strangely enough have actually regressed as far as characters go.

I agree on Hiro, but I like what he's doing now more than chasing around speed girl, that was just awful. I think his character is extremely one-note and they need to keep him on that note. If that means less screen time, I'm ok with that.

I hate the thought of stolen powers. At least when Sylar used to do it, the person was dead. Having Peter walking around without powers is the lamest idea anyone could have come up with.

The saving the world deal will probably continue to happen. I think about what the show could be like if the characters were just struggling to survive or just had conflict with each other. It would probably work for half a season, but there needs to be some sort of end goal to work on. This Company vs. Company thing could play out nicely if done right.

The problem is that Primatech doesn't even seem to exist. They are trying so hard to spend all their time on the big picture, they are ignoring the small things that make the big picture make any sense.

Things wrong with this series:

- Lack of any philosophical/theological discussion on the implications of their powers. If they're merely genetic triggers, what does an eclipse have anything to do with it? They flirt with this issue but fail to deliver any substantial insight, either into the subject or the characters. Even if the accepted they couldn't answer the question, you would think it would weigh heavily into their thought process.

- An adverse lack of critical thinking for most characters. Motivations and allegiances change with the breeze, to the point of even the "heroes" hanging on petty revenge. If you're older than 18 and you're able to suspend your disbelief, you are willing yourself to do so. The writers aren't helping you.

- Too much good guy vs. bad guy and not nearly enough good vs. evil. I don't get this. You do a superhero feature to dig into this timeless topic. They constantly make assumptions that we understand which is the good side and which is the bad side, but since Season 1, I haven't found any identifiable rooting interest. Only Sylar has come close, and his character has gone catatonic.

- The idiotic development of the Hiro and Peter characters. Who is running this show? They should be sent to Gitmo. Here you have the heart of the show and they send these characters on errand-boy missions or play up the tortured son storyline that, frankly, is becoming more pathetic and less interesting. I'm pretty much rooting for Sylar to take Peter's head off at this point, but I'm afraid they would introduce a "Mommy Didn't Love Me" plague on the planet that would drain testosterone from all the men on the planet. Honk if you think Peter is more wuss, less hero.

- Big shock, the cheerleader is the center of the universe. Again. If Claire were a real American teenage cheerleader with super powers, her power would be the ability to reduce the self-confidence of all the women around her. They're working hard to turn Claire into a hard case, but I find it hard to believe a virgin would even know where to buy all that black leather she's been wearing this season. Get her a boyfriend then break her heart already. Then I'll start buying Claire the **********.

- New 'heroes' are approaching God-like status. Why would Arthur Petrelli even need henchmen? He could just take everyone's power and be done with it.

Oh, I could go on. I don't hate the show. I'm just really, really disappointed what they've done with a promising concept. When it fails, no network will touch something like this again. Heroes is hitting all the worst notes of comic books, not the best.

I think I am done with this show. Every time they show the drawings of the earth blowing up, it feels like they are actually talking about the show.

Although, Seth Green and Breckin Myers were kind of cool.

Last couple episodes have been an improvement for me. I like what they have done the past couple. I hope they keep it up. Plus wit Tim Kring coming back for the last 5 episodes or so, I expect hiim to put the show back on track.

It's still crap with a slightly redeeming last 5 minutes the past couple weeks.

haha... i thought they were awesome.... too bad they won't become regulars!

I do think the show has kicked it up a notch in the last few episodes... just in time before they take another 3 month break:(

To me the show was best during that first run Sept-Dec.... once they came back from the first break its been downhill since then....

Bad ass sylar is far better than the weak bitch he's been. By far.

Weak Peter is almost killing this damn show, IMO. And now we have weak Hiro? Good lord.

The problem with Sylar is that he is officially a caricature--he's becoming a cliche. The only hope I have for him was at the very end where he did his dirty deed.

To make this show as good as the 1st season, someone should tell the writers that they don't have to make characters identical to what they actually were in the 1st season...

I actually thought this episode was one of the, if not the, best of the season. That is to say, slightly better than mediocre.

I've still got to catch up. I have 4-5 episodes on DVR to watch.

My sails lost their wind with the "Villains" episode where they flashed back using Season 1 flashback stuff with Arthur Petrelli added in...that was weak.

I loved this last episode. F'n crazy Sylar is way better than good Sylar (and even good Sylar is better than everyone else).

I had no idea tonight's episode was the season finale. When they started killing off all of their expendables, then my wife asked "Is this the season finale or something?"

I'm not at all excited about Season 4. I'll still watch, but I don't have to wait until September to watch X-Men again. (Edit: Site says Feb 2nd. Still, I own X-Men, I can watch it tonight.)

Winning Friends and Influencing the People in My H
Show is definitely improving after a very lackluster start.

Looks like the next half of this season will be even better, thankfully.

My only hope is that Peter gets his GD abilities back permanently. He'd be the only character than can square up with Sylar in a man to man situation. Unless of course Ando pairs with the Haitian.
