ASU is the very definition of "pretender". Will be interesting to see if Erickson can bring in enough talent to make this team a force next year, although with Rudy at QB, I doubt if they can ever be a force. They've played three decent teams and pretty much got taken out behind the woodshed and gotten their asses kicked by every one of them. That's disappointing.

Cheese, I don't see them as a pretender. Pre-season, I expected 4 losses (USC, Cal, OU, and a "pick one" most likely UCLA or UA). I think people look at their record and just want to bag on them. Look, they aren't a great team, they are probably just above average. I think the fault lies with the fans when we expect ASU to be able to beat elite college teams; I just don't think we have the talent for that yet.

Well, the Devils had a chance w/ that crazy sequence, but not getting it on 4th, and then allowing the punt, then two stupid penalties- if ASU can't score a TD before the half, I think its over.
