Nice point! ASU's O-line really sucks ass. I am happy to see that you still support Rudy. I don't think he is the most accurate QB, but I do think he is a good college QB.

I was not trying to start a debate, I was just asking you opinion, I know things on the internets can get confused.

He still has a very high completion percentage and didnt throw many picks this year. Though you could say part of that is due to the fact that he takes sacks instead of forcing throws that would lead to either incompletions or picks.

In past years, w/ different O-line's, it seems like Rudy C was actually a pretty good scrambler, I don't know why thats changed this year. Hopefully next year, with more coaching from this staff, and some good recruits, the line will be improved.

I wonder why he doesn't scramble anymore, also.

Longhorns suck ass.

You mean the team that beat you again this year?

You mean the team that didn't go 0-2 against the Mountain West?

You mean the team that's been to a bowl game this millennium?

You mean the team that isn't coached by a no talent ass clown?

Im guessing he meant, the team that hasnt beat anyone worth anything this year..

Not happy with the Bowl performance (flat to say the least) but extremely happy with a 10 win season.

Man that game was kind of painful to watch :( devils really have to work on their defense when it comes to scrambling qb's Mccoy killed us with his legs. Also we defintally have to build up our oline more they played horrible today in all aspect of the game. Overall i'm happy the way the season went for the sundevils but their is still a lot this team has to improve on.

Well, Texas and USC showed us how far we have to go athletically to move into the BCS bowl level. In other words, we have a ways to go. In particular, our LBs are not fast enough in lateral pursuit. And, our Oline can't move laterally to save their lives.

It was disappointing. Texas was clearly the better team, but they also got a couple nice bounces of the ball too. The combo led to a blowout.

This should help recruiting.

A first year coach taking a team to a 10-2 record and a bowl game...??

I would think it would help recruiting.

He's done all of this with the previous coach's recruits.

Have you seen the players already coming here? We don't have a recruiting problem...

Including one that went right into one of the coach's hands (who also happens to be Mac Brown's step-son). That is still one of the weirdest things that I've ever seen in sports.

It sucks that ASU lost but this is far, far better than what I expected from Erickson considering the talent that he inherited. I was honestly hoping for an 8 win year.

And I'm quite certain that my point was that it's more than a little stupid for UA fans to be trash talking football with ASU fans.

Speaking of trash talking, did anyone watch long enough to hear the discussion by the broadcasters about how Carpenter was trashing Texas all week at the events? What an embarrassment. This guy needs to grow up...and fast.

Can someone please muzzle Rudy Carpenter? That guy's a complete clown, he's way too high-strung and obnoxious ever to be an elite QB.

Completely agree. Agree with BIM too on being pleased with a 10 win year.

However, we've got to have a better QB than Rudy to improve next year. I was wrong about him.

It pissed me off to hear that he was talking smack to Texas all week. I mean, how stupid can you be? Yeah, let's get them riled up to knock your fricking' block off Rudy.

During the game, I questioned why the coaches didn't tell him to shut the hell up. But, my Dad pointed out that Erickson's teams (at least in college) have always had that rep of talking junk. For all we know, Erickson LIKES that sort of attitude. You'd better have the talent he had at Miami, or play Notre Dame in your bowl, if you are going to do that though.

Remember when he had that interview on the radio and said he was gonna hang five or six touchdowns on U of A? I REALLY do not like it when people act like that, especially when they're on the team I like.

ugh, really? i understand being a competitor and talking on the field, but don't trash a team in the week leading up to the game. particularly if you don't know a damn thing about that team (don't play, different conference, etc.). this just adds more fuel to my "rudy's a punk" fire. terrible.

Watched the entire game and it really comes down to this:

ASU is just completley outclassed by teams with superior athleticism. And that will continue to be until they get more high level athletes into the program.

The good news is that Erickson's coaching this year was amazing. Between his adjustments and getting the team by every team they could/should beat he proved quite a bit to me.

Saying that getting embarrassed three times on National TV (with each beatdown getting progressively worse) has to leave a bad taste in your mouth. All in all a good season - now we just have to see what level of elite talent Erickson can bring to Tempe.

Oh and Rudy Carpenter sucks. Maybe my least favorite college football player of all time. No doubt he has beat my Wildcats three straight but I just hate everything about him. Including his Keebler elf little face.
