I'll repeat - we will not get Homecourt Advantage. If we play the Nuggets, I think there's a good chance we lose.

Damn, you have to admire the Spurs. Double overtime on the road two nights in a row, the first game without Duncan, and the second game without Duncan or Ginobili. And they win both games.

Let's hope this makes them mentally fatigued, or something, because that whole squad is incredibly tough.

IMO - we now have to go 5-1 for the rest of the year or we don't get homecourt. We don't get homecourt... we face the Nuggets. We face the Nuggets... highly possible first round exit.

Even worse if we have to play SA with Duncan in SA.

Those back to back losses just freaking suck. One to a GS team that is playing decently, but still - hasn't beaten us TWICE in the last three weeks(that's unacceptable) and a mediocre Houston team(at home). Those aren't the marks of a championship team.

It's a matter of being realistic - not faith arthur. I love this team - I love how fast and how far they have come this season, but they ain't in the Spurs league(when healthy) and they have yet to prove whether or not they are in the Nuggets league when the chips are down. The playoffs are a different game and the Nuggets will be a team we have to reckon with for years - they can run, they can score, they can defend, and they're deep. They scare the beejezus out of me. We haven't shown ANY kind of dominance at home since we started out on fire - losing more often at home to good teams than we have won.

We'll see what happens, but I'm just not getting my hopes up with a team this young - history dictates that every great team needs to go through playoff wars and lose before they ascend to the throne - I think this will be that year for us - with bigger and better things to come...

... and SA is showing why they have won championships and why they are considered favorites. We are still young. Hopefully, we learned from these two loses and will wake up for rest of the games...

I don't think we will have to face Denver in the first round. I think they will take the 6 spot. I'm pretty sure we are facing Houston or Memphis.

Also, What the Spurs just did to GS without their two allstars...Can't see us doing the same without Nash and Amare.

That's complete crap. This Suns team will kick the living you know what out of the Nuggs.

Homecourt means nothing. So, let's say the Nuggets steal one in PHX. Good possibility. But, I'd bet my last dollar PHX comes back and kicks the living hell out of DEN in Denver.

DEN simply does not have the consistent outside game to stay with PHX.

Heck, I hope it happens. It would be fun to see George Karl and his bag of tricks.

especially since we couldn't do it WITH Nash and Amare.

I hate the Spurs they remind of the freaking Patriots - boring, not flashy - just finidng ways to win. I really thought once Duncan went down there was no way we wouldn't have homecourt - now we're just a half game up. Well - backs are to the wall - let's see what our boys have got! Big game tomorrow - and I'll be there!

Sly - I hope your right. But we haven't kicked the living hell out of anyway very good in a long time. Again - I hope your right.

And you're kidding with your "Homecourt means nothing" comment right? You really think with a healthy Duncan, we could beat the Spurs with them having homecourt?

The Suns are going to have a tough first-round matchup no matter what. We've known that for a while.

I don't see how the Spurs winning their last two games changes that. I'll worry about Game 7 of the Conference Finals when and if the Suns are fortunate enough to get there.

Crazy stuff. I'll be very interested in the Sun's posture and confidence tommorrow.
The bad news is that this can now be a mini-statement game for Kobe, and he will try to play spoiler and score 50 points on us.

Of course, the good news is that this can now be a mini-statement game for Kobe, and he will try to play spoiler and score 50 points on us.

I don't think PHX has a home-court advantage. We've seen what they can do on the road. And, we've seen them struggle at home, especially lately.

Do I think we could beat the Spurs w/o having home-court advantage w/Duncan? Yes. Not going to be easy. But, the way this team plays on the road gives credence to that. Winning a Game 7 on the road against a Duncan-led Spur team is a totally different story.

We're just going to have to wait and see what this team can do when Game 1 rolls around. It's like waiting for X-mas morning as a kid... you never know what is waiting under the tree.

I like the confidence of this team. No one seems afraid to want the ball when the game is on the line.

I just wantt o see us kick the Lakers asses tomorrow. To tell the truth, I LOVED seeing Amare smiling and jumping up and down after Hunter missed the jam - no fear in Amare. You could see it in Nash's eyes also - he was glaring at Hunter to get over it - it's just one game.

I'm just pisses because I wanted us to finish strong and stay away fromt he bottom bracket and if possible have homecourt versus the Spurs. I don't see that happening now.

6 over the Spurs, 4 over the Heat (assuming reports are true and the Suns hold the tiebreak over Miami).

I hadn't really taken the time to look carefully at your update page, SweetD. Very impressive! There's a lot of information packed in there.

We have to play the Kings twice there at the end...that worries me a bit.

I just hope the Spurs lose to the Grizzlies...their schedule looks sort of easy...

You're worried about the Kings? For some reason, they don't strike fear in me like a bunch of other teams do...

spurs will finish 61-21. i think they roll the blazers, kill the jazz, split with memphis and then, on the last day, with minny eliminated, they destroy the wolves.

that means we have to go 5-1 to finish the season and end up a game ahead of the spurs. this is gonna be tough. i could see us going 4-2, with losses to the kings and nugz. if we do pull off the 5-1 finish i think it'll be with three straight W's over the lakers, hornets, and clips, then splitting the next two games (home games verses the kings and nugz) then sealing the homecourt with a W over the kings away from home (which would be fitting).

i don't see the heat as a legit threat for homecourt.
