i agree, i'd gladly play the kings before almost ANY of the other playoff entrants.

Well maybe they aren't that big a threat....I just worry about them...they seemed like the best team we have left to face...

I also worry about Sacramento to a degree, especially in their house. We haven't played their new lineup, so anything could happen, and like Goldenstate, they can score with us... as we don't play defense... very well.

Also, Duncan is back tonight as the Spurs play Utah at the Delta Center.

Jazz up 22 14 in the 1st.

So, we essentially have 1 to give right now, right?

Of course, if they don't lose again, we have to win 3 of 4.

I don't think Miami's in the picture anymore...

Holy cow! Jazz did it again!!! Okur shined again. lol

I didn't know Duncan actually played and so did Ginobli. I know Duncan only played 20mins but still, it should be good enough to beat this Jazz team since almost all their stars were injured.

GREAT news!

Heat play tonight and have been on a losing streak. We could close the top seed out this week.

has anyone taken a second recently to think about the fact that we narrowly finished a spot above LAST PLACE in the western conference last year and now we have a magic number of 3 for BEST RECORD in the LEAGUE?!? pure unadulturated insanity!

Win tonight gives the Suns at least #2 and plus a loss from San Tone will cut it down to one.

I think that our win and Miami's loss last night means the race against the Heat is over. I also THINK that a win tonight coupled with a Spurs loss tonight will seal the deal once and for all as well.

Does the sound right?

That's right.

The magic number is 2. Any combination of Suns victories and Spurs losses that add up to two get the job done.

Wow, what an amazing season.

Quite a tribute to Cotton so far. Might as well win the whole thing. :)

One more win or San Antonio Lost and it is all over. I hope the Grizzles keep getting killed by the Spurs so the Suns will be in a better position to win the series.

The Suns should have a pretty good idea of the Spurs will win tonight even before they start their game. If they find out the Spurs will lose at Memphis, do they take it easier the next two games?

ABSOLUTELY! Get enough rest as possible - especially for Nash. If he's refreshed going into the playoffs, look out. I just don't want to see him as ragged as he looked against the Lakers, Hornets and Clippers - we can't win against the big boys that way.

I wouldn't hold my breath though, Memphis has been an absolute punhcing-bag for anyone who's played them recently)and they already have their position completely locked up) and a veterean team like the Spurs know what's on the line.

it really is unbelievable how good this team ahs been all season. If not for a 6 game losing streak, this team would have already had homecourt and likely had one of the greatest regular seasons of all time. Pretty resilient bunch - not many teams can lose six games in a row, completely throw that out of their system and then race back to consistently winning ball games the way we have.

The last game vs the Kings was pure domination. That is a better team than we say early in the year with the addition of a confident Barbosa and J2J. We just need Q to get back in rhythm then this team will make some major noise.

it was nice to see us KILL a bad team(which is what the Kings are without Peja and Miller) - but I still don't know if we're "back" - tonight will be a really good litmus test if the game means anything. Excited to watch it.

According to Amare's post-game interview on KTAR after the Kings game, one of the main goals for the Suns is having the best record in Suns Franchise History and that requires they win the last 2 games so I doubt we see the starters get less than 30 minutes unless it's a blowout in the Suns favor.
