I don't get you guys... do you all really think ONE game in the tourney is going to hurt either Ball or Jackson?

Kevin Durant got eliminated early while Greg Oden took Ohio St to the the championship game and he dominated Noah/Horford.

That doesn't answer your question but the tourney matters...

No. Oden was ALWAYS going to be the 1st pick from the second he took his first dribble... as a junior in high school.

That tournament didn't put him anywhere he wasn't already slated to go for two years starting in high school.

I think he would've gone #1 most likely although Chad Ford said about a third of teams had Durant rated #1. Derrick Rose tourney run helped him even though they choked.

Personally I don't watch a ton of college basketball, but enjoy reading this forum.

I feel the top of the draft is very close in talent and they all have some weaknesses. Fultz's team didn't do well. Lonzo Ball is not very quick, De'Aaron Fox apparently doesn't/can't shoot, and Josh Jackson looked intimidated today.

I think it is an incredibly exciting, albeit stressful year to have a top pick. Almost a second lottery -- if your pick was worth it or a bust. Hope the Sun's make a good choice!

Ball is very quick and got hurt in the first half of the game.

Jackson didn't look intimidated at all he picked up two early fouls that kept him on the bench in the first half he had a good second half but it was to little to late

Again, you're missing my point. Having one bad game isn't going to DROP your stock, especially if your stock is high to begin with. That said a great run can BOOST your stock, especially as a high rider, like a Wade.

But take Durant for example... he flamed out early, still went 2 and according to your post, 1/3 of the league wanted him 1. Meaning... one bad game from a guy most people are talking superstar in the tourney makes very little difference.

When you absolutely get your ass kicked in a direct matchup with draft prospect at your own position and draft range and all of the weaknesses of your game are underlined, yeah it obviously affects the draft stock.

Not when you were playing injured.

I know. It's much better to be sitting home watching on TV, right?

Josh Jackson may have increased his stock though.

It is interesting that Dx has Monk and Fox going 5 and 6. Boy Kentucky is a guard factory. I cannot imagine if the Suns got ANOTHER Kentucky guard out of this draft.

The thing is for me there wasn't a kid in the tournament playing with more "stuff" to deal with than Lonzo Ball. his dad confirmed yesterday the mom is recovering from a serious medical procedure, so the stroke rumors were in fact true. Lonzo came into the tournament with the thumb, then he had the hard fall on his side he had to deal with, and then the tweaked hammy in the first half of UK. Yes he got destroyed in that game, but I'm going out on a limb and predicting NBA teams will look at the totality of his season, consider what he was dealing with the last few weeks, and decide he's still going to be a very good pro.

And Fox is a baller, if he could shoot he'd be rated right there with the other guys.

That Bell kid from Oregon would be a GREAT fit on this Suns team. He does everything and is pure energy. Really good hands and defensive intensity that they lack.

You want to make a signature bet who goes higher... Ball or Fox and actually back up the above?

Ball goes higher, you make your signature: Magic Johnson was a Point Guard.

Fox goes higher, ball's in your court...

I agree with other posters. Jordon Bell would be an awesome second round pick.

Kentucky goes down to defeat but I'm really liking De'Aaron Fox. He can pass and has terrific athleticism. His upside is huge. I'd like Monk as well but he does not look to be a PG.

Jackson has some serious off court issues and a weak 3pt jumper and Ball has an idiotic father who will bash whichever NBA team that selects him and will become a huge HR nightmare. Ball also appears to have Kendall Marshall type athleticism.

I can maybe get behind taking Jackson but overlooking his off court stuff is difficult. No way can I take Lonzo Ball because drafting Lonzo Ball is the equivalent of drafting Lavarr Ball with him.

Just a bit of trivia. Who was the first NBA player to break a backboard? It will surprise you.

The good thing is we are talking about drafting Lonzo Ball, not his father whose athleticism might be similar to Kendall Marshall's.

Lonzo Ball, the son is on a different planet than Marshall regarding athleticism.

Couldn't read past that. What a silly thing to say...

I think Sun fans can agree that the Suns need some defense, Enforcer? Trade the high pick for two mid-round picks. Josh Jackson stock fell in my draft.

Nice I cheated and googled it so I won't post it.

Well, since no one else is trying. Played for the Celtics, Dodgers and Cubs, and drafted by the Chicago Bears. Also the first NBA player to shatter a backboard.
