No doubt.

Our local media are kittens in terms of how a crap NFL franchise is treated.

I have heard radio shows from other NFL cities and the Cards and Bidwill have a cakewalk comparitively.
The interesting part is how a trade for a player like Maxx Crosby would change the conversation. Monti could easily come out and say that injuries have hit the roster hard, but the team is committed to winning which is why they added a top player.

Imagine being Maxx Crosby, going from one loser franchise to another loser franchise.

The Cards are not that adept at controlling the narrative. Look at how Mikey handle the McDonough saga. Dude could have easily been silent but went out and hired a character hitman. Total clown show.

Go get Crosby and at least show the fanbase you are trying to be competitive on defense.

hmmm.... Still too early too judge this draft class but let's take a look at how they're doing so far:

If (big if) Robinson and Harrison meet expectations, all will be forgiven for 2024, especially if Benson comes around, and we also get a solid starter out of Melton, Adams or TDD.

I think most of the time you make your own luck in life, but MO sure isn't getting any love from the football gods with all the injuries.

Sucks for everybody but we have to stay cool.

Denver paid John Franklin Meyers 7.5 mil over 2 years in FA this year. 3 sacks and 6 pressures.

Monti paid Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols a combined 17 mil per year. 0 sacks and 2 pressures.
You don't understand. He wouldn't have a player of the quality of Zach Allen making life easy for him.

You cannot rate a draft class after 1/2 season IMO.

You have a top 10 OT, a potential rising star at CB, a starting WR, a talented but injured edge and 5 qualified back-ups.

That pretty damn solid

FTFY I mean, backups in name only--there is nothing to crow about with any of those backups save for Dante Stills. Qualified as in they are on the roster and thus backups? That's about it. Also, we have an injured edge. Talented is being overly generous. I'm cautiously optimistic about Garret Williams, but not ready to name him a rising star. I agree on PJJ and MW.

Nice!

Can we do "over performing and underperforming" for the 2023 class too?? :)

  • Round 1 | Pick 6 Paris Johnson Jr. - At least meeting expectations! Maybe over performing slightly!
  • Round 2 | Pick 41 BJ Ojulari - underperforming, but there's still hope!
  • Round 3 | Pick 72 Garrett Williams - wow! What a great pick and overperforming!
  • Round 3 | Pick 94 Michael Wilson - he's not elevating K1 so I like to phoo phoo him (haha)!
  • Round 4, Pick 122 Jon Gaines II - still on the team but hasn't contributed much? Is he in on special teams? I thought I saw him in for at least one play this past Monday night.
  • Round 5, Pick 139 Clayton Tune - big and strong. Stands tall in the pocket like Stafford and Donald
  • Round 6, Pick 168 Owen Pappoe - playing meaningful minutes. Not invisible. I'll say overperforming a little.
  • Round 6, Pick 180 - Kei’Trel Clark - sticking as a back up so far so not bad. - same grade as Pappoe
  • Round 6, Pick 213*- Dante Stills - significantly overperforming and a great pick!

Looks good so far but it's fate may hinge on if we ever get any production from Ojulari!
