There was never any statistical evidence to show the offense runs better with Colt.
2 of this offense's 4 lowest yardage totals of the year have come in the last 2 weeks, and their per play average with Colt (4.5 yards) is lower than their season average (5.1 yards). The offense has the most penalties in the league this season, and they have racked up about the same amount in the last 2 weeks as they average for the year. Hopkins and Moore/Dortch have continued to dominate targets, aside from AJ Green in garbage time tonight.
All of this is totally understandable, because he is Colt McCoy, and this offense has issues well beyond the QB. Everyone wants this to be another Warner/Leinart situation, but it clearly isn't. Respect to Colt and all, but he is the quintessential backup for a reason.
It's much easier to put all the blame on Kyler than it is to admit that this entire organization is pretty much going up in flames and has been for quite a while.
