I am not sure I have the heart to show up for the Pittsburgh game...

On Sunday, I didn't think I would go to another game all season. Today, I'm starting to talk myself into it, Ben looks banged up, Harrison may be out, etc. I am guessing by next week, I will be looking forward to it.

The Steelers are unreal. Ben is banged up. Their defense is hurting and they go out and hammer the Titans with BenR throwing 5 TD passes.

Got my tix yesterday, courtesy of Fox sports. Cardinals have not lost and will not lose a game I attend in Glendale.

If I am not already on DJ's ignore list, this should do it:

Your posts are so dumb they are actually funny. Sort of the Jim Carey of ASFN. So I'd never put you on ignore.

Just found out one of my buddies from pittsburgh is coming out for the game, and now I am excited. God hates him so we are sure to win!

This could be the game the Cardinals steal from a better team every year instead of the Giants game. They were just messing with us by losing to NY.

Their defense is older than ours and maybe their pass rushers will wear out sprinting to Kolb every snap and we'll win in the 4th quarter for a complete change from prior games.

I hope we make their defense look horrible if only to lessen the chances or seeing the lesser members end up on our roster.

That is the question I keep asking myself. Steeler "fans" were obnoxious in defeat last time, I can only imagine how much worse it can get if they win going away.

Last time, I left the stadium smelling like someone else's beer. This time, I'll probably get shanked.

Well, the decision was made for me. Can't go anymore.

Be there!

PS - told the wife that the crowd will be insufferable but if need be, I'm kicking someone's ass. (I'll put you all on the hospital visitation list.....)

For the record, I don't think anyone cares. But I will be at the game come Sunday. Sporting my cardinals gear. Don't care how many Steelers fans there are.

There are less than 1300 tickets listed for sale at Stubhub. Cheapest seat listed is $103 for section 402.

Lot of interest in Sunday's game.

Anyone who actually follows the Cardinals the last 5 years knows we are going to win this game. Emotional Home game over a overrated "name" team. When have we NOT won this game the last five years?

the giants game three weeks ago? the bears game five years ago? people keep holding on to this "we always win a game we have no business winning" thing in their heads. we had one last season no doubt, but the previous three seasons (I know this is hard to remember considering how awful the last 21 games have been) we were actually a pretty good team. 8-8, 9-7, 10-6 teams didn't have miracle home wins. They had good impressive home wins... by talented teams. This is a talentless team, playing a solid club... what happens more often than not is this team doesn't win this game. I mean... there's the Saints game and the GB/Minnesota games we got miracle wins in in 2003... but can anyone really name me another huge upset we had during that eight year span? DG sure as hell never had one and Wiz's teams the first three years were actually competitive.

Bro cheese I don't really care what you think people are holding on to. You can be as miserable as you want. That's not me so you have your misguided opinions and I will have my own misguided ones as well. You don have to be the champion of gloom and it doesn't make anybody else ignorant because they fail to see things the way you do.

But since you made a misguided attempt to follow my post I'll go over the actual facts to support my point:

2010: Saints, Dallas
2009: Minnesota
2008: Dallas
2007: Pittsburgh
2006: Seattle

None of those teams were teams we should have beat and that was at the time of the game, not with the benefit of hindsight like you currently have.
Alright I'm leaving again. Don't have time to wallow in my own self pity and be made to feel like I'm an idiot because I am not looking to fire any coaches or cut any players. Yet.

That's ridiculous. The Cards were just as good if not better than Dallas in 2008 and the Vikings in 2009. The 2009 team was the best talent the Cardinals have put on the field since the days of Coryell. There were no surprise upset home wins in '08 and '09.

Here are the real games that the Cards always seem to win:

2000-Redskins when AWilliams goes 100 and Cards win 16-15.
2001-no game vs good team so Cards beat Eagles in Philly instead.
2002-Giants
2003-Green Bay
2004-Saints
2005-No game fits
2006-Bears game was supposed to be the one but the Cards knew they had to do something drastic to get rid of Denny.
2007-Steelers
2010-Saints

Vikings were 10-1, 3 point favorites on the road and were the darlings of ESPN.

It is not unreasonable that that was a game "the Cards were not supposed to win."

I recall most of my Minnesota relatives thinking so anyway. :)

However, in 2009 a game "the Cards were not supposed to win" had a totally different meaning than in 2000 or 2002 or 2003 or 2010.

They had already won in NY vs the Giants and pummeled the Bears in Chicago and eventually ended the seasons as NFC North Division Champs when the knocked Green Bay out of the playoffs.

Cards 41 Bears 21
Cards 30 Vikings 17
Cards 31 Lions 24
Cards 51 Packers 45

:)
