The flaw in this logic, is that there is going to be kids within earshot EVERYWHERE.. so you're saying.. If an opposing teams fan has a kid.. don't be a douche to him, for the sake of his child.. But it's ok for people to be complete ass-hats and set crappy examples near OTHER peoples kids?

Very good point. Everytime Im in the stadium there is some kid 8 or younger in earshot. None of them should be subjected to that crap.

I have never gone out of my way to be a dick to anyone at a sporting event, not my thing. To be honest, I like sitting next to opposing fans because you get more insight into their team. I like to make bets with them during the game too and try to get some free beer. I do however expect to experience many who will whenever I go to a football game. It would be like going into a strip club and seeing drugs being used. If it surprises you than that's your fault.

I am not saying that it's OK I am saying that it's going to happen. And yes, I do think there is a difference between teasing a kid's Dad in front of the kid and doing the same to a stranger rooting for another team in front same kid.

That goes on the adults who brought those kids to the game as much as anyone. They knew there would be vulgarity because it's a football game and still chose to bring the kids. If they cared so much about not letting the kids be subjected to it then they would have watched the game on TV.

Interesting logic. Blame the parents for bringing their kids to a sporting event? Gotcha.

What are you talking about? Please tell me Shane when was the last time you went to a football game and didn't hear any cursing? So that would mean that only a very naive individual would not expect to hear it when they went to a game, correct??

See the fan code of conduct

Fan Code of Conduct:
The Arizona Cardinals are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all fans, both inside University of Phoenix Stadium and throughout our parking areas. The Arizona Cardinals Code of Conduct was developed for all fans attending our games to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion. Ticket holders and others who violate these provisions will face ejection from the parking areas and/or stadium, along with possible arrest and potential revocation of season ticket privileges without refund. When attending an Arizona Cardinals game, all fans should be aware of and comply with the following guidelines:
>Behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature will not be tolerated, including verbal or physical harassment of opposing team fans.

Ejection
Fans that refuse to follow the direction of University of Phoenix Stadium staff or fail to comply with the Arizona Cardinals Code of Conduct will be subject to ejection without a refund of their event ticket, which may result in the loss of ticket privileges

I've actually been to many games and haven't heard swearing. But have conversely been to many that I have. I certainly don't believe it's something you should just expect. Been to enough games where the crowd in my area were all well behaved mature adults. Enough to make it so I know it's not just something you HAVE to deal with.

I know its cowardly, but I was considering not even wearing Cards gear to the game. I dunno yet. Its just the 2 of us

Had a buddy get kicked out last season when he called a fellow Cards fans wife a CU** (she was) The husband defended her honor and the fight was on. Both got the boot and deservedly so actually.

Then he went and got his face painted in some random park by some ganster's gramma in Tampa, right?

I have known so many people who have had issues with SAFE security. Their employees are poorly trained and the escalate far more situations than they diffuse. They have that ability to kick people out and in my opinion, they totally abuse that power.

I would recommend that season ticket holder call the Cardinals ever time they have or witness this abuse. When I had an incident with them I called the Cards and they referred it to the regional manager for SAFE who did call me back.

Maybe eventually the Cards will get the message and demand better training and accountability from SAFE.

There is the occasional F-bomb, and then there is constant, trailor-trash cursing. I bring some or all of my kids to most games. They range in age from 8 to 15. Our section certainly enjoys the game, the beers and the experience of being a fan! Thankfully, cursing is really kept to a minimum... I can't recall it ever being an issue.
FWIW, we NEVER sit down. And we never have issues for not sitting down...
