Here's my point. Yes he won the Super Bowl as a Ram. Yes he went to another there. Yes he was a 2 time MVP there. But his complete body of work, he doesn't get into the Hall of Fame without what he did here. That is a fact. If winning a Super Bowl or 2 is all it took than Jim Plunkett would be in as he won 2 with the Raiders. But if KW's production fell off as it did in STL and he remained a backup for the rest of his career then there's no way he's in a discussion for the HOF. In fact, had we gotten blown out in that Super Bowl I'm not so sure he gets in with that either. Believe me, he leading us to a Super Bowl had just as much of an influence on him getting in as his time with the Rams. We should have gotten equal recognition.

Well said, NJCF! Warner was absolutely brilliant in 2008 and 2009. It looked like when he was a castoff by the Giants that all the luster had faded from his star. Instead, Warner's during Warner's championship run with the Cardinals, his star blazed brighter than ever.

Yep!

I still can't believe how awesome he was in that Packers playoff game! That was the greatest passing performance I've EVER witnessed in my life Mitch...more TDs than completions? Wow :shocker:

Seriously, I don't ever recall any QB ever achieving that feat that threw 20+ passes in a game. He was simply amazing!! Whew, I'm all pumped up for the season just thinking bout that game & #13s performance that day lol

I know he won the SB and MVP with the Rams but I don't know if he makes the Hall without the comeback in AZ.

Correct. Most fans, even Cardinals fans, don't know Warner threw for more yards and TDs with the Cardinals than he did with the Rams.

As awesome as that was, he was even better against the Miami Dolphins. (Yes, I know regular season vs. playoffs makes the GB game better. I'm talking about pure passing.) That was one of his two games with the Cards which got a perfect passer rating. I will never forget it. I think he hit 19 in a row at one point. Not only that, he was throwing at tight coverage, often before the WR made his cut, and hit guy after guy RIGHT between the two numbers on his jersey.

I've never seen anyone be more accurate than that. The only other QB performance that impacted me like that was John Elway at Stanford against ASU. But that was freakish for other reasons than accuracy.

That's a good point, aj! When it comes to the HOF, racking up the numbers is definitely a considered factor.

Remember who was a receiving star in that game?

The same WR who tripped over his own feet in the end zone with a chance to beat the Bengals and who K9 used to argue would be just as good as Jordy Nelson if he had Rodgers throwing him the ball.

When he does his NFLN reports from home... I see the Cards helmet more in the main shot....far more often than I see a Rams helmet.

Good enough for me.
