They overcame a MOUNTAIN of obstacled, and the withstood one of the NFL's most memorable miracle drives until the VERY LAST play of the game before falling. I said that they might lose a game or so on this playoff run, but that never again would they play down to an opponent. THEY DID NOT.

CUDO'S to Matt Leinart for showing the world that he is starter material. Who knows how good he might have been today if he had been given a starter's share of reps during the week. He played well enough to get us a win that JUST WASN'T THERE.

LaRod Stevens-Howling----you are WORLD CLASS.

OFFENSIVE LINE----you were sensational today, ALL OF YOU.

THE ENTIRE DEFENSE----the same can be said for you. You gave all you had and then some.

BACKS AND RECEIVERS----you did wonderfully, considering you had no real reps with your today's QB during the week.

This does not remove us from contention for the SB----on the contrary, it only serves to leave one VERY UGLY STINKING TASTE in the mouths of anyone wearing The Big Red today. Take that back to Az with you, and use the remainder of this week to spit it out, but remember this taste, because you will not EVER want to have it again.

ANYTHING can happen if you play this hard, and are in it at the end of the game, ANYTHING !!!!!! It took a miracle to rip this game from your grip. Those don't happen very often. Great game!!!!!

There is nothing to be proud of when the team allows a 99 game winning drive with 4 converted 4th downs.

Sickening...

I'm with you catfish. That was a tough game and they never gave up. It was a tough loss, but they showed a lot in that game and expect them to win next week. Ten is a desperate team and every win is a must win game for them. For all intents and purposes this was a playoff game for Tennessee and the Cards hung with them. This D just needs to find ways to win games with a slight lead in the fourth though.

Proud of the effort, disgusted with the outcome.

Come on Catfish, tell me you don't have higher expectations than a moral victory. Ask the players how they feel.

See this is what perplexes me....why do our fans always see the silver linings in every bad thing that happens.

I hope I am not right...but in 2 weeks we will be playing for our playoff lives...against the 49ers!!!

CC, they played a great game today for 58 minutes. They just came up short. They very well maybe playing for their playoff lives in two weeks, but if they played like they did today they will win in two weeks and they will win Sunday at the Vikings. Truth be told that Tennessee game scared me more than the Vikings game does.

LoL, well I've definitely been MORE proud of them than I am right now, but I agree with you. It's one game.

When the schedule came out how many people marked Tenn on the road in November as a loss?

Add NOT having Kurt Warner into that.

I'm proud of how hard they fought, I'm pissed at the D like everyone else but jeez all I see on the board right now is:

We #$%$$#% suck. Same old Cardinals. Thats pathetic. The Same old Cardinals would have lost this game by 40.

It's one game. We lost, write us off if you want, I'm proud of the team for fighting so hard. I didn't learn anything about the Defense that I didn't know in February. We need to play better. The season isn't over.

Calm down. SF has an energized SEA team to still beat next week and another tough game @ PHI. We are still in the drivers set for the division.

I'll say it like this.

They made me proud with their effort.

They ran into a hot team in a hostile enviroment and had them nearly beaten and lost to a guy who does that kind of a drive from time to time.

You could make any excuses you want and I'm not interested in them because we lost, end of story.

Still proud of my teams play.

CC is not banned yet really? How ridiculous with some of the posts he has had in the last hour! The mods on here are as bad as the refs who refused to call holding!

I agree with everything except the O Line. TN's O Line let VY do what he did, ours collapsed way to many times.

How can there be a silver lining when the offense only scored 10 points and the Cardinals lost a game they should have won easily even with Leinart at QB. The reason there weren't any sacks was because the Cardinals intentionally played small ball to protect Leinart. Same old story, pass, pass, pass, safeties creep up, no running game, no points.

I mean, what the hell? 160+ yards rushing 3 straight games and they just give up on it? In a 3 point game!?! 11 rushes for Hightower and 8 for Wells.

see I completely agree Mokler....we were in the game in spite of our offense.... Does anyone know that we gave up 530+ yds of offense and didnt reach 300 yds of offense....

I did apologize and deleted the thread, I may not agree with you, and we'll leave it at that. As far as today goes, I have no doubt that if the Cards play like they did today they will not only get to 10 wins, but will easily win the division.

Everyone has to get a grip. Coming into today's game Tenn had only given up. 7 sacks. 7 in 10 games and Young had only been sacked once in 5 games and we got to him 4 times so lets not talk like Tenn walked all over us. I don't care how much yardage Tenn got it took a last play miracle to beat us. Hats off to them. They went down the entire field and had to fight for every yard. The defense did play well today. If Dansby's not hurt, with that effort we"ll beat Minn next week.

OKAY-----I WILL tell you ------ I do have higher expectations than a moral victory. This doesn't go any better in my craw than it does in yours, or most certainly in our players mouths.
BUT
That doesn't mean that I am willing to throw our team under the bus. I believe that our players, ESPECIALLY THE DEFENSE, did exactly what the coaching staff asked for them to do today-----contain Vince Young, and their running back, and keep the ball in Vince Young's hands to see if he can beat us by passing his way to a win. That is precisely what he did, and I don't believe that he has ever done that before, and he CERTAINLY has never made a sustained 99 yard drive for a TD with virtually no time remaining on the clock to get a WIN.

That was the game plan, and except for the long TD run that Tennessee got, (which was negated on the following play by LSH's return TD), they executed the game plan well enough to win. Vince just did not collapse under the pressure like NEARLY THE WHOLE WORLD FELT HE WOULD DO UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES.

The game plan was sound, we played well enough to win, Vince just beat us with a miracle finish. Get over it. The team will. And I have already.

After giving up 532 yards and 20 first downs to Tennessee the Cardinals are ready to beat Minnesota? Wow. I don't see Minnesota scoring less than 30, probably more like 40 next week.
