When I was 18 I worked security for concerts. I remember specifically a show for the Melvins. I was on stage doing crowd control and there was a fence through the crowd separating everyone, minors to my left and adults to my right. At the time, I am a rugged, young, testosterone filled, moshing metalhead type kid from the hood.

I'm hanging out up there, watching everything going on and suddenly the over 21 crowd is getting rowdier than they had been and they started picking up the fence and pushing it over toward the under 21 crowd, making room and just being wild punk rock fans. normal stuff.

I'm on the stage watching it and kinda laughing as I am used to being in those crowds. Suddenly someone slaps me on the arm, I look over at the head of security and he points at whats happening and I realize oh yeah....I'm supposed to stop these things!

I couldnt imagine being a cop and having to stick my nose into all that kind of stuff all the time. Thanks for your service.

We had a big group of us together at Gordon Biersch the night before the NLC championship game. At least 40 or 50 of us, we got along just fine.

We have had many gatherings and get together’s of people on opposite ends of the spectrum and we always get along

Hell ya, in Miami we had close to 300 cards fans, but not all are on the board. We had 30 to 40 in St Louis in 08 and they were mostly from the board. So I think we would be fine.

You reminded me of one time around 2003 when I had lunch and watched the Cards play at a bar in Ahwhatukee with Skkorp, Jw7, KoC, and Jstadvl.

All of them have now passed away. They were good people and it was a fun day.

Thanks for sharing. Even though I never knew the guys personally...you can tell they are here in spirit. This board and it's members have carried it forward.
