I think the Cardinals will be going after Cousins

Now first off, Wilks is the head coach which means his responsibilities are not exactly to run the defense but he will surely have a hand on that side of the ball and something tells me the Cards looked at their team, saw what they perceived as their strength and want to make it dominant. I'm not a huge fan of Cousins and what he will demand but with DJ, some OL help and a stout defense... I think the Cards are going to make a major push to sign Cousins and use the 15th pick on defense

I respectfully hope you are wrong sir!!

As I stated, I'm not a huge fan of his but Solar will be grinning with my post. Wilks is already stating 'retool' and not 'rebuild', which tells me they have their sights on a franchise QB and something tells me they see that in Cousins (hell, he is the only one available with that perception)... I do not see a bridge QB when you say 'retool' or a rookie QB either in my opinion

Saw a report somewhere that the Cards, Browns, and Jets were the 3 teams to heavily pursue Cousins. He's the best option out there from a talent perspective, question will be what he commands in salary. That will determine whether he's worth the pursuit/commitment

Don’t join the dark side now Jet, we’re still on this Anti-Cousins wagon together.

I don't like KakakaKirk but I have this feeling. I still have the wagons in a circle but I think that Redskin is going to sneak in and take our scalp lol

I’m all for it, as I’ve been saying. I think we backed ourselves into a corner at QB, and he’s our best chance.

The alternatives are mostly short term answers with a ton of question marks.

Absolutely. We missed out on Watson or Mahomes. Now we have to pay for that mistake. Be it via draft capital or cash. Wilks shouldn't accept an underwhelming bridge QB solution and honestly Keim must aim higher than that if he wants to be our GM any longer. If Cousins gets a slightly bigger and longer contract than Palmer got with us two years ago, that's a good deal. Not really much for a QB these days and the cap will only go up.

Part of that corner is the draft capital we can’t realistically use to move up for the right guy, when we could have last year.

Teddy Bridgewater fits the mold better than Cousins...followed up with a rookie

My guess is Teddy Bridgewater.

For all of the holes that will need to be filled, 25 mil for Cousins is going to be tough to fit. Saving 6 mil by signing Bridgewater would get us a similar type QB, and allow us to add depth pieces or another starter.

Bridgewater would be a terrible choice.
Timing, rhythm QB inside a dome where him arm strength isn't a huge issue. It is not ideal, but it is the most likely scenario IMO. I don't see us paying for Cousins, and you aren't going to wait and see what falls to 15 on draft day.

If Teddy is healthy, Vikings would be fools to lost him.

Norv Turner knows Teddy well. Wilks will get input from Turner. If Teddy is healthy and available, he is the cardinals QB in 2018.

“Wait and see what happens on draft day” isn’t acceptable when we don’t have a QB on the roster. For as crazy as this board went about the coaching search, can you imagine how crazy we’d react when the team says “well we’re gonna roll with (insert backup) and hope someone falls?”

I rather go after Bradford and then a draft pick.

Cousins will swallow all our cap, and wont leave us room for FA wr's and OL which we need

But we can draft Lamar Jackson where we are at in the draft and acquire Tyrod... I agree with Mitch, that is feasible
