It is almost like the MLB during the steroid era. Fans were coming in droves and baseball was at an all time high when Mcguire and Sosa are hitting every other ball 500 ft. They all knew what was going on but the ride was to fun.

Now ...I think the NFL wants certain teams in the mix or certain games to be high profile because they are losing fans. Last night if anyone saw the Texans and Raider game....but no way could a competent person say hi Justin didnt get that first down. No way no how unless you were just trying to cheat them. And what is happening around the league teams are getting more and more obvious bad calls. I really do think the NFL does not like Arians and they are taking it out on him. But let's look... Minnesota is playing D on Thanksgiving. Now that game is huge!!!
So many blown calls where they are not even questionable. I mean it's getting to the point someone should look into the refs and see what is going on. I mean the NFL went after Brady for have low psi in balls?!? But we have refs spotting the ball 1 yard backwards....and then on replay where everyone in the world can see....not overturning it...it makes no sense u less they are cheating. Please someone prove that wrong. No way can intelligent people say Houston didn't have a first down there....impossible.

Sorry Cards_Campos it was just too good to let it go by. Some one else here stated that the refs were directed to place the ball on the nearest yd. marker. God know why because all it does is either cheat or give an advantage to a team based on how far they need to go for a 1st down.

I'm a big Cards fan and I enjoy the Cardinal ball games as well. My advise is to let a hobby drown your bad loss.

I like to build bobber motorcycles. I spend more time in the garage working and it's my medicine for bad football. I just bought a 2004 Sportster I'm converting into a hard tail. It should be badass.

My point is I used to get mad for days over a bad call now I just consider the nfl for what it is...and that's entertainment. And yes it is rigged...look at Seattle and New England.

Could it be payback for "All or Nothing"? That series highlighted the mistakes that the refs made last season (for dramatic purposes). All or Nothing probably wasn't watched by a lot of non-Cardinal fans, but I wouldn't be surprised if the refs watched it to see if they made it into the series.

I don't know... it seems like almost every game this year that the refs are gifting our opponents a TD. I actually thought the refs were doing a good job in the Minnesota game until that INT for a TD & then that series where they called 3 personal fouls against us in a row (ticky-tack QB roughing, PP unnecessary roughness on WR Sam Bradford, unnecessary roughness on Swearinger for tackling the ball carrier with a legal tackle). That was 45 penalty yards in 3 plays that were all bad calls. I could live with the QB roughing since his arm does hit Bradford below the knees, but it wasn't forceful... his arm hits him & Bradford stumbles backwards & falls over him. He didn't put a helmet or shoulder into his legs or try to grab his leg & twist it. It was like a kicker really selling it to try to get a running into the kicker penalty.

The instantaneous, multiple angle, slowed down to frame by frame look that we as fans have will make every call the refs make look imprecise. There is no way they can call a game as well as we can. And they can't look over every play on replay. I don't think there is a big conspiracy, just generalized low competency compounded by easy access to complain.

I'm with Reign Blood on this one. Been watching since 67'. The refs have put it to us repeatedly over the years. (except for Mel Gray's non-catch TD against Washington in 76', I believe.) NEVER, EVER forget the NFL is a business and the MORE popular the team...the MORE likely they'll get the call. That being said...B.A. (quite colorful) S.K. (exec. of the year) and M.B. (pro-active owner and host of multiple super bowls) have now put us in the mix. The Cards in St. Louis would NEVER have gotten a second glance. Just my opinion...

My advice....Don't get too caught up in the "winning"-aspect...If you do you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Have a GREAT day! :)

The games are not scripted but the refs do seem to have an agenda to help certain high profile teams during the ebb and flow of a game because it's now a entertainment industry with too much money to think the NFL does not have some control

After today, I can't disagree with this sentiment anymore. This is so pathetic.

Make 2 after this game.

If we loose this game, I think even playing better as a team makes no difference so, the NFL will loose 1 more follower. Because I want to see a sport and not an entertainment show.

It's not rigged..the refs are just that bad at their jobs

But they're bad in a one-sided manner. Rigged or no, it's a massive freaking problem. I'm just so angry watching this game.

The masses are gullible. The refs are very good at what they do promoting an advantage. They secure the game when allowed and then throw some phantom calls for the other team to offset the obvious which works... but it seems a lot of people are not that stupid and know what's happening now

No you can't be that bad at your job in TV and get a pass ... if the whole thing isn't rigged.

This game was called by refs for the outcome that the cards had to loose. When the game was over, they threw some flags and now at the end of game you think that they didn't get them right because they were bad.

Without the first 5 bad calls and the no calls on the constant holding of the Altanta O-line this game would have been a win by the cards, not pretty but a win, with 20 - 17

We did win like that last year, this year we don't.

Yes the team didn't play great, but overall ... the calls were onesided. And this was like a WWE match, the only problem is, the wrestler know it, the players don't so it is much more fustrating to watch the NFL than WWE ... overall. I don't watch the WWE because I wanna see sports ... and the best win.

That today was clearly not the case. The Atlanta D and the O wasn't that much better and even the ST wasn't that much better.

Face it this team is not playing very well. So you think the owners are in on it? They would allow this and cost their teams millions? It would also be a federal crime. You guys at insane, there is no conspiracy.

It is not rigged. We are terrible at the oline, the defense is overmatched, the special teams is crap. We could have two more wins if we kicked field goals, but we didn't because we are bad.

How would it be a federal crime? If one considers that gambling is actually illegal but allowed in certain circumstances in a strange Catch 22 in our country, that is the only thing which would make it illegal which is really a funny irony. It is not 32 individual businesses playing each other but 32 franchises of the same company. They can manipulate their product within their own presentation anyway they want in my opinion without breaknig a law and split the proceeds accordingly and let the fans pick and choose sides and their side always wins

What does any of that have to do with the refs doing their job or not doing their job?
It means we're making excuses.

I will admit though, I watched the game in about 30 minutes through fast forward due to stuff happening at home. So if I'm wrong, then my bad.

Fixing any sporting event is against the law. Our opinions don't matter in a court room.
