we would have Ameer Abdullah instead of David Johnson. Interestingly, we were one pick away from seeing DJ being a star for some other team. Thank you Detroit for stepping in front of us. Not sure if that says anything about our drafting or whatever, but in some other parallel universe, DJ is setting records for some other NFL team. We made the right pick in getting Fitz when we did, but DJ seems to be simply luck on our part.

As far as fantasy goes, he is even more of a dream come true for those who have him. In my dynasty keeper league with a $200 CAP, I grabbed DJ for $4 last year and after this year i can keep him another 3 year for $19 a season. Lets keep praying he can stay healthy for years to come.

Yeah but its a part of the draft
Somerimes u get lucky sometimes not

However our front office must stop chasing projects and getting hungry players, ambitious, hard worker and passionate about football.
Athleticism is important but is not not the only part

Our front office hits & misses just as much as any other team. We are probably a little above average on hits since Keim took over.

I thought they were just grabbing Abdula because the Vikings wanted him for AP. Or something like that.

It's Wednesday, after all.

A while back I stumbled in a a pre-draft article on a Vikings site, and some dude in the comments was absolutely frothing over DJ and hoping the Vikes would draft him to eventually replace AP. He must be so sad - AP looks done, and DJ hasn't even hit his lofty ceiling yet.

I'm ecstatic we got him, but I don't attribute it to "luck". He was on their board and in their minds and they didn't hesitate taking him when their initial plans fell through.

There are many factors going into drafting, not the least of which is who is scouting those schools and those players. It could simply be they over-valued the scout who scouted Abdullah more than the scout sent to look at DJ.

Scouting isn't perfect, nor is drafting. But I wouldn't attribute it to luck.

DJ has averaged 59 yards/game thus far this year. He needs to average 74 yards/game the rest of the way. To have a shot, he needs to rack up a big cushion against Miami and N.O. as yards will be hard to come by in LA and Seattle.

I hope he gets it. I believe the team is absolutely going to go out of their way to get him there.

Go Cards!!!

Prescott was selected in fourth round, had much better college career and skillset then logan thomas who was selected by keim in the 4th round
They could take him in the 3th round instead of brandon williams , if they really like him..dont know if it was for the minor misdemeneor he had but keim had a terrible 2016 draft

Prescott is a perfect example of many clubs, diehards (including yours truly) and so-called experts buying the hype and not trustung their eyes.

This is still to be determined.
