If Plummer were available at a reasonable cost for next year, would you sign him?

And, the ONLY way Shannahan isn't in Denver next year is if he quits (a very distinct possibility). Bollen won't fire him...not this year.

We'll see. You've got part this all wrong. Shanahan cannot quit his job and go to Miami because he's under contract. Can Shanahan quit and not accept another job? Yes. But doesn't he have 3 years left on his deal? I can't see him sitting out 3 years.

So can Bollen and Shanahan work out a release deal? Sure. But that's still getting fired in my way of thinking.

Whats really funny here ...

Is the only comparison I originally used between Plummer and Tark, was that they each left a team for awhile, then returned, if Plummer came back.

The blind hatred for Plummer on this board did the rest.

I attended at least one game a year at Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis for many years in the 60's and 70's.

The leave and come back part is valid, beyond that comparing across eras is impossible, which is what somewhat told you several pages ago.

Did you see our only playoff win in 18 years with your own eyes too Double 1?

I did, Jake was amazing on defense that day holding Dallas to 7 points, and a meaningless 7 at the end of the game. I don't know why we ever switched him to offense.

Was that the same year that Trent Dilfer won the Superbowl? I don't remember.
I don't buy it. I think Plummer sucks.

Cue Airplane: I gotta get out of here! I gotta get out of here!

The line is a mile long waiting to slap Lex, er, the "Jim never drinks coffee at home" woman.

So Lex - if Jake is 1-2 in "playoff appearances" - does that make him a failure like Brian Griese.

Jake is Brian Griese - a spoke in the wheel that will never get Denver anywhere but a one round and out flameout. Nothing to crow about considering he has an awesome running game and a very good defense.

Point of order!

Jake is 1-3 in playoff games!

Win against the pukes (great analysis of Jake's defensive prowess, russ. ;) ). Loss against the Vikes. Loss with Denver last year.
