I gave you cooking instructions Linder. :|

The amount of water is fairly irrelevant overall. Boil the water, add the corn, when it starts boiling again, turn it off and remove from heat. Drain and serve.
Yes, but you gave me instructions AFTER I cooked it. :p

Now I know.

The topic of corn always makes me laugh.

My friends and I had a long discussion about corn solving world hunger when we were on a "mind-altering substance" back in high-school and to this day I will never forget it.

The gist was that since you can eat corn and then since most of it comes out of you solid you could wash it and eat it again, why aren't we planting corn fields in impoverished nations? This was follwed closely by a debate over since Popeye is a sailor-man does that make Bluto a pirate? And finally wheter or not the smurfs were just really magic mushrooms and the whole show was just Gargamel tripping while trying to find more.

Im interested in the post shat washed corn theory, but the smurf stuff is totally rudimentary for anyone under the influence. I expect better from you, quite honestly. Now get back to work!

Well, I did it. 40 days without salting any of my food. There were some days that I really didn't think I'd make it.

The good that has come out of this is that I think I will probably use less salt in general now. The instinct to just grab for it is gone. Although I have exceptionally low blood pressure now, that may not be the case always, and developing good habits while I'm still relatively young is always a good idea.

Congrats, Linder. After 40 days of doing nothing out of the ordinary, I still feel about the same as I did before lent. Weird, eh?

Is everything

I think I finally figured out why my "chocolate covered corn kernels" idea failed in the marketplace.
