Oh it took a village to lose this game. But those drops had already occurred when the three predictable runs into a loaded defensive front were called. And those three runs were called knowing they would likely (a) not allow the cardinals to run out the clock, (b) result in a 40+ yard fg attempt - no gimme for his kicker, and (c) give them the ball in good field position if Dawson missed. And he still called those three predictable runs into a loaded defensive front. To excuse him when his play calling factored into the loss is looking for excuses for a failure.
This Times 1000!!! So well said. The last series was coaching 101 and he failed miserably. If done perfectly we still probably going to overtime. Because if Dawson makes the kick Seattle had time. The troubling thing is. Rosen was throwing laser passes....why not let him throw on atleast 1 down. Why do coaches become so stupid. The defense knew we were going to run which is scarier because we got out coached by Pete Fricken Carrol. I didn't listen but I Well be furious if the reporters don't grill Wilks . You must ask him tough questions. If he says it was execution and he do it again. Then someone has to say you are insane. See the I've thing Wilks is over his head. If Rosen throws...he has probably a 57-62% of completing. And then we kick a closer fg to win out right. So we probably had a 60% of winning passing. Running and kicking a 45 yd fg with Dawson odd like 45-50% at best . Plus no guarantee the win. He had to use the basic math. That our odds were better to win by throwing. Period!!! Running 3rd and 6 was horrible. But just think . We are 2 stupid coaching decisions of probably being 2-2 . And both are stupid play calls on 3rd down
