And if we had more R2-3 picks this year, what do you all think about drafting Jalen Hurts, the Okla QB, to be our backup. Seems perfect to me, someone who could be closest to mirroring Murray if and when he goes down, wouldnt have a lot of money tied up in a backup, if he progresses and looked good in relief in 2 or 3 years might be good trade bait before his rookie contract is up.

He’s going in round 2. By all accounts he’s a super smart kid and a great teammate. He’s going to be a solid back up/starter for the next 10-12 years.

Absolutely no reason to spend a draft pick on a backup QB this year, the year after, & the year after that.

If we hadn't resigned Hundley I would say yes with a late round pick if he was there.

I think Hundley is a great back up to Kyler, and I hope we can keep him here for several years.

Seems like a waste of a draft pick when we have other more pressing areas for depth and talent.
