Don't put quotes around the word fan as if to imply that the dude is not a fan of the team. All of us are fans, or else we wouldn't be here gutting it out year in and year out with this franchise. Just because someone has a different idea about what would be/would have been better for the franchise in order to win without giving up things doesn't mean he or she is any less of a fan. You decry personal attacks yet make one with your choice of quotation marks in just two sentences.
Yes, it is the past, and yes, there is no changing it. I however, find it sad that we won that game...especially if we trade up. I don't think we should ever lay down, but the Cards put up more effort in the final two minutes of that game than they did in 90% of their road games, and that upsets me to the core. It was, hopefully, the last time the Cards did something that ultimately hurts them for a long long while.
Bring on the winning, bring on the packed stadiums.
But don't bring on the subtle jabs at other fans who simply feel differently than you about how to get there.
