Is there a coach out there that will inspire both excitement and ticket sales?

Pardon my ignorance, but I just don't get the Norv Turner love as OC. To me he's still riding the Dallas 'glory' years from 15 years ago. Didn't he bomb in Washington too? yeah, the Chargers offense was pretty good at times, but what else?

Turner uses a very small playbook on gameday and tries to adjust on the fly. It's a very 90s philosophy, IMO. It sort of puts his QBs in a box and makes them suffer if they can't run the ball.

So ... yeah, I agree ...

Horton and Turner would be the balls.

Turner is a terrible head coach, but a phenomenal OC.

mehnomenal. Ha!

I think he is a completely piss-poor HC. He can't manage a gameplan across the board, oversee his team and have them prepared. Game day he seems hamstrung. He's bombed in SD and Wash as HC. He was good in SF and Miami as OC.

But every time he's been an OC, his offense has been strong, his plan has been solid and players have had good seasons under him, including Alex freaking smith.

So he is kind of mehnomenal. :)
