I've seen the future of the NBA and his name is Amare Stoudemire.

From today's AZ Central by Paul Coro:

Internally, there have been frustrations with his inability to progress as a defender, rebounder, willing passer or even solid screener in his seventh season. There is a feeling that the Suns already have seen how far riding Stoudemire as a top scorer can take them, particularly as his game edges toward a reliance on perimeter shots with Shaquille O'Neal in his lanes.

Stoudemire has never clicked in the locker room with teammates much beyond pleasantries. No big-man coach tutelage, from Marc Iavaroni to Bill Cartwright, has connected the dots for him. And while he keeps a global following, the Valley's Suns fans have become more annoyed with his erratic play and consistent braggadocio.

I really dont like the way suns management is proceeding to identify almost all the problems as player problerms, and then getting rid of all the players. I suppose that is what politicians do, blame everyone else for their mistakes. Kerr is starting to act like a politician, and everything he has touched seems to now be bad, but its not him. This team has been totally dismantled if they deal amare, only nash and barbs will be left from the '06 team. And still no sign of improvement, remarkable. Its like he's playing a big fantasy game and he wants to make just more more deal to get the "championship combination".

BC and DA were previously identified and pushed out. I can understand why the Suns might want to move Amare but I do not appreciate the Suns FO apparently putting negative spin on the matter.

:lies:

Spin cycle BS from Suns mouthpieces, who start rumors that get into print and become repeated as "fact."

Here is a fact:The Suns offense is a work in progress but it doesn't matter what offense Porter has the Suns running, their defense is still horrible.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. When I read Paul Coro articles written about the Suns, I usually find them credible. He usually knows what's going on inside the Suns organization and the team.

He knows more than I do about this but my opinion is that what is being said is not the real issue.

Porter's, Kerr's or whoever's idea it is to make this offense go through Shaq at the expense of ignoring the other talented underutilized scorers is STUPID. The players know it and are grumbling. Shaq is playing great for us and is doing his job and then some, but the offense could be so much more if it utilized and integrated all our players strengths. They are making it easier for the defense to guard our guys because they mostly STAND AROUND on offense when Shaq is posting up.

And the defense has gone to hell or looks like hell. It sucks. and it is not all Nash and Amare. Nash is not athletic enough(quick) to stay with most point guards. He tries to make up for it by being willing to take charges and make smart plays. The other players need to be taught basic skills like holding, pushing off without getting caught, and boxing out. This can be learned even by old dogs who become good at it because they have to to be effective when they lose a step of athletic ability due to age and injuries.

But lets ignore all that and say Amare has been unwilling to improve instead. So they are setting him up to be moved by talking about it in the media. He will eventually react like Marion by feeling unwanted and say "Trade me" somewhere and Sarver will have his excuse to trade him and tell us that he didn't want to be here. Just like Joe Johnson and Shawn Marion.

Just to stress a few points which you have already known.

A. Amare has never been a good rebounder, and his rebounding has nothing to do with Shaq, or coach, or GM, or whoever else.

B. A large part of the turnovers by Nash and Amare are not Shaq related, actually, not even tactics related.

C. Defence is something in the gene. It doesn't seems likely for Amare to ever become a decent defender. And Nash is too old.

Conclusion: BLOW IT UP.
