BC, have you been on vacation? I did not see you post during the draft. Did I just miss it?

So you are saying if your leading rebounder is, say, 6-7, 230, you are in trouble as a team? Because Marion was playing pf (and Stoudemire was starting at center) much of the time he was in Phoenix.
I read and appreciated all the research and info posted during the draft. And, yes, I did just come back from vacation.

Bumping your Small Forward to Power Forward and your Power Forward to Center because they added a few pounds and/or slowed down is, I believe, not the formula to become an elite team. I've always hoped for the Suns being more than just not "in trouble as a team". But, unfortunately, the owners, the Front Office and Suns fans have settled for that.

Except for the Warriors. They start two small forwards, a combo guard, a two, and a center who averages under 6 rebounds a game.

And are absolutely dominant.

And the Cavs who start two guards, two small forwards and one power forward.

The problem at center, is there currently is no powerhouse center in the league to make the Cavs and warriors pay for playing small. I imagine if you could time machine Wilt Chamberlain to the present in his prime, he would love to play against the Warriors and Cavs. He would foul out half their team. Even Hakeem Olajuwon, or any other mobile high scoring center you can think of would ruin both the Cavs and Warriors. Shaq in his prime could do it. There's just no one like that right now. The new Centers want to shoot 3's not power over people to slam home dunks every play.

OK. Just thinking about this here. Is Jackson a better passer than Bledsoe? He might be. His handles are not as good, but almost. He can guard point guards.

See where I am going with this? If Milwaukee can do it with Giannis. . .

Giannis isn't really the point guard... Brogdan and Delladova both assist at a higher rate with lower TO rates, plus Monroe and Middleton are both at about 4 asst/36. I don't think we need to push for JJ to be the principal playmaker in the offense... if he does well his role will grow. And don't forget about Ulis, he's the best playmaker on the team - even Watson will realize that eventually.

I don't see JJ as being our primary playmaker or "point guard/forward" but I could see his presence helping Bledsoe. Bledsoe has played his best when he's on the court with other creators, Dragic, IT, and Booker. We don't need 2 combo guards or 2 PG's, we just need 2 playmakers on the floor and I think Bledsoe, Booker, and JJ will help the offense run more fluid.

Adding Blake and Jackson would really change the passing culture of this team. They are both excellent passers.

I can't help but think that if a dominant young center comes out in the next few years that it will send shockwaves throughout the NBA and teams like the Warriors wont be winning like they do today.

I think it would be true if it happens. Most talent is going into football now. Just like way back in the 1970's a lot of really good athletes went into boxing. Now you hardly see any big guys entering boxing like they used to do. Basketball used to develop big talented centers because that was the name of the game. The shot clock and three point line have diminished the center role somewhat.
