Jerry would be a good bench guy. No doubt he could make the bench longer. We won't do it but I would pick up the phone if he is released or bought out.

He is old and doesn't play well now, factor in his insane salary this year and the only thing he could be used for is matching salary.

he could find a team that needs him more than we do. San Antonio would probably be near the top of that list. It wouldn't hurt a team like new orleans to get him as a nice bench threat either

it'd be worth a shot if he was bought out. then he could re-sign for the min.
but if trading, taking on 7mill for a 34yr bench player...no.

its tough to say where he wants to go. i think right now he just wants more minutes. that will not happen with the suns or hornets imo.

the spurs maybe. he's old but could provide some offense.

why wouldn't he get more minutes in New Orleans? they don't have anything off the bench other than posey. Stack could easily be their primary scorer of the bench.

Spurs won't even think about taking him at that salary, they sold scola because of piddly money issues and are still really hurting from doing that.

Besides that stack is not just playing bad, he is playing absolutely terrible.

Stack is a nice player, but I think this team needs a true answer at the 2 spot. Bell is very inconsistent right now and would be best served coming off the bench.

In a van...down by the river.
The Suns have some SG/SF issues he'd be a nice fit for the Suns.
Just to clarify, the SUNS have issues at SG.....having a veteran like Hill & a young, scrappy bulldog like Barnes at SF is solid....not to mention the recent play of Louie Louie(SF/PF).
I'm still holding out some hope that Barbosa can function in this offense AND contribute on defense, just horribly bad circumstances w/the illness and death of his mother basically rendering him unavailable from training camp to date. I'm afraid we may never find out.
Tucker is well...still a summer star.
I think Bell is done as a legit starter in this league. What other team would he start for anyway? I'm sure there's a few but you'd be hard pressed.
I'd like to see his effectiveness off the bench in a reserve role as a spot-up-guy from the 3pt line....and as an extra defensive presence there.
IMO the 2 is our greatest weakness in terms of shooting(ugly),size, depth, scoring & general playmaking.
IMO the SUNS know this & will deal with it soon.

Someone may already have pointed this out but on a team with a tissue-thin defensive scheme (the D'Antoni regime), Raja Bell was much more valuable. Now that everyone (well, almost everyone) is playing D, it actually exposes Bell's streaky offense as more of a liability.

(insert "DUH!" noise here)

I dunno what you guys would have to give up to get Stack but i'm giving my opinion based on Stack being signed to Phx after being bought (just play along will ya haha)

Barnes is solid but he does make his fair share of bonehead plays...Grant Hill is solid as well but come on its Grant Hill. His injuries will definitely affect his play as the season goes on. Having another SG/SF veteran who can score points in the half court and play smart adequate defense is definitely something the Suns could use.

eh is louie louie the name you guys gave for Diaw? lol

I would like for the Suns to start Barnes at SG and Hill at SF. However, this leaves some odd pieces in the mix: Bell, Barbosa and Tucker. Bell would be an idea backup SG but where does that leave LB. If Tucker is legit when he becomes healthy, I can see him being able to play SF or possibly even SG. I just can't figure out the bench if the Suns started both Barnes and Hill. I definitely feel Hill is better starting as well as Barnes.

The depth & quality is solid here w/Barnes,Hill & Diaw.
BTW, i was referring to Louise Amundsen.
Stackhouse for the minimum is interesting, otherwise no thx.
Barnes & Stackhouse on the same team=dubious.

No thanks... how many old guys you want to collect? This team needs youth and fast if we want to start rebuilding soon.

if kapono, damon jones, mike miller or peja gets waived then i'd even chip in 20 bucks. not that it has a chance of happening at all, but the point is, with the spacing problem another shooter wouldn't hurt. i mean, sorry stack, we're stacked at the 3
