ESPN's John Clayton calls the Eagles and the Giants the front-runners to acquire Anquan Boldin via offseason trade.
Philadelphia is reportedly the current favorite. Clayton believes Boldin's trade demand will be met, which would be big news for Steve Breaston fantasy owners. The compensation is expected to be a first- and third-round pick. Philly has two first-rounders (Nos. 21, 2Cool. New York drafts 29th overall. Feb. 10 - 7:08 pm et

I closed out of the link window, but you douchebags know better than to doubt me. ;)

A 1st and 3rd is what the Lions got from Dallas for Roy Williams.

Is this the best deal we can get?

give him to philly

1. i dont see philly being that good, they are getting very old
2. McNabb succeeds more with burners (T.O., Deasean jackson, kevin curtis). He doesn't have great accuracy anymore.

I think a lot of these guys just throw **** at a wall and hope it sticks. Boldin wantsto be in Philly though. I think he's still upset with the outcome of the NFC Championship game.

Id be pretty happy with another 1st and an extra 3rd rounder though.

Pick up Knowshon and Mack in the 1st.. and pass rush/TE help the rest of the way.

Exactly, he will stay with the Cards or be traded to the AFC. The Cards hold all the cards.

I hate the idea of trading a premiere player in his prime to teams that we will be competing with to make the Super Bowl...

The Giants pick is too late in the first round to even have me remotely interested in that deal..

If Philly offered the 21 then Im not sure if I'd do it..

How about the Cardinals make Q honor his contract? If he sits out, fine him. I doubt he would sit out two years. I am getting so sick on how Q is acting like he is in charge. He signed a contract and he needs to honor it.

That doesnt do the Cards any good at all. Better to trade him!

Agreed. He either plays for us (which is looking doubtful) or we get as much as we can out of him. If he sits we have to eat his contract, have a roster spot being used and don't get any compensation for not having him.

Oh boy, the Giants are willing to trade their 1st and 3rd to us? Goody goody gum drops, we can move up two spots! The Eagles trade is a bit better since it would mean moving up 10 spots instead of 2. Throw in Lito Sheppard and then we have a more fair trade.

Yeah, no kidding. What a lack luster offer. Philly atleast sounds reasonable. But when you consider what Detriot got for an under performing WR in Williams you wonder if Boldin is not worth more?

The Cardinals fine him for every day missed. He won't sit out the year. I say they call his bluff.

Correct me if I am wrong but a fine doesn't get subtracted from his cap number.

He won't sit out the year. I wouldn't be surprised if he suited up for the first game. Has there been many players who have sat out an entire year because he was unhappy with the contract he signed? Q is not getting any younger and he probably doesn't want to sit out an entire year.

Throw me down for the Philly package as well. Pro Bowl starting WR with great numbers and just entering his prime > Roy Williams

Jesus Christ will someonenplease tell these idiots that the cardinals would be the stupidest franchise in history to trade boldin to an already contending NFC team!!! for dying out loud, that would be like pepsi trading their top executive to coca cola....

And everyone thought Chad Johnson had to be traded a year ago and threw out all sorts of teams as possibilities. The Bengals weren't stupid enough to cave, I don't think we'll be either. If we trade him, it will be a rape of a trade. I've never been a Graves rah-rah guy, far from it, but I honestly believe he won't screw this up.

I have never had much confidence in Graves so we will see. I do agree that a Pro Bowl WR for a late 1st and 3rd sounds like a bad deal.

McCardell sat out like half the season with Tampa before he was traded to San Diego for a 3rd & 5th round pick. He was 34 yrs old when that happened. So there is precedence and its not unheard of.

We need to either give him an extension or trade him, letting him sit would be a bad move.
