You're right, Mulli. It's a lazy response from me; however, it accurately depicts our current QB situation. Bringing in retreads and no-treads is not going to make it any better, IMO.

BTW, welcome back! I'd like to say I was at least partially responsible for your return. ;)

I suppose that phrase is perfect for the QB situation.

And yes, you would be right. :)

I'm sorry man, I'm too brain-dead to retain all of that right now. But to clarify, I don't want Kolb, I just feel like that will be their reasoning. It seems like either the coaching staff or FO really wants Kolb out there

No I get it. I was just going off the rationale of how idiotic is for the front office to use that one drive, along with other stuff.

The whole thing wasn't directed at your quote though. I was using it as a jumping off point.

...and of course I realize you are saying what THEY will probably do, and I don't in any way discount that as a possibility.

I just hope they go more on who plays better in games, behind our OL, and doesn't have complete meltdowns, has some upside, and isn't a non-running QB more injury prone than Vick.

If they are looking for reasons that small to pick a QB, then they are desperate. They might be, who knows.

it's not to pick, the decision was already made, those reasons will just serve as their attempt at justification

The potential tragedy in the entire process thus far is that, under the best circumstances, one or more of our QBs and our OL will eventually learn how to play together and eventually jell. But at what cost in early losses? (It would repeat last year's pattern and we'd wind up making the same mistake twice).
That's been the seemingly overlooked (by Whiz) aspect of this prolonged QB controversy.

Enough with the analysis, Whiz! Make a freakin' decision and live with it until circumstance dictate to do otherwise!
I really think now is Skelton's time. If not this year, he simply won't have a chance, because we'll be signing or drafting someone else next year if he doesn't take the reins.
Point well made!
