Meh. I read there is a scene in the movie where they show where Robin William's character Allen lived while in Jumanji. Weird because they said it's a remake not a sequel.

Yeah but it's nice to throw a little tribute to Robin in there. Whether it makes any sense or not.

Took the kid today and he loved it! The cheese factor was high, but it was entertaining.

Heard nothing but BAD things about this. Disappointed because I liked the trailer.

Honestly, it's what I thought it would be based on the trailer. I was entertained and my son was laughing quite a bit.

Fun movie. It really didn’t ruin the first one for me. This wasn’t a remake at all IMO. They referenced the old game and Alan Parish (Robin Williams) old character. I just thought the marketing was so confusing when they announced this.

Just watched it tonight. Very entertaining. It’s not a cinematic masterpiece by any stretch, but if you want to laugh and be entertained for two hours, this is for you.

Exactly. It wasn't trying to be serious or anything but a cheese fest. Forgettable, but fun as all get out.

Pretty much. The one difference was Jack Black, IMO. I thought he'd get really annoying, really fast, but he really nailed it.

Jack Black owned this movie.

My only complaint (and it’s not even really a complaint) was I wish they gave Hart more of an arc/something to do. The Rock was the Rock. Black was great. The Red-Head kicked ass and was hot. But Hart’s character was pretty one note.

Oh... one other thing. F you know who at the end. That d-bag isn’t cool enough to wear a Metallica T. Hate that guy with a passion.

We saw it yesterday at Cinemark in Elk Grove in their new reserved seating reclining chairs. honestly I was so comfy I was concerned I'd fall asleep but the movie was great, kept me entertained. To be honest I never really liked the original, I didn't hate it, but i didn't love it, but I loved this one and will probably now rewatch the original.

We rewatched the original with the kids after watching this one and they enjoyed both. I love when we find a throwback movie and the kids enjoy them. They loved Harry and the hendersons.

Entertaining, but with some problems. Kevin Hart's character/Fridge was a waste. He didn't have an arc and I'm not sure if we're supposed to believe he was changed at the end? That he's now friends with the nerds?

The camera loves Karen Gillan though. Man, she was super hot and you never really realize it when you only see her bald with blue body paint.

Cheese was right though, Jack Black and the Rock owned this movie, especially Black. He did a great job.

2 other nitpicks: the villain was not good, Bobby Canavale is usually pretty reliable as a villain, but he was boring and not really very scary. And there was barely any animals 3/4 of the way through the movie, which I thought was odd. They were mostly fighting the faceless motorcycle guys. They made up for it at the end though.

Oh I realized how hot she was WAYYYYY before. She was hot when she did Doctor Who. I had not even noticed the no animals thing until you mentioned it.

Bobby Canavale is an interesting actor. I either really like him in a part or it's just meh. Usually no in between for me with him.

I surprisingly liked the movie though. I had low expectations.

yeah... they didn't give Canavale much to do besides just be the bad guy.
